‘If Your Children Are Watching, Be Warned’: Here’s How Networks Covered Trump’s F-Word To Iran

‘If Your Children Are Watching, Be Warned’: Here’s How Networks Covered Trump’s F-Word To Iran

Donald Trump’s deranged call for Iran to “Open the Fuckin’ Strait” on Sunday led some major news networks to do something that’d be otherwise stunning — cursing on live TV — if it were not to accurately depict the president’s wild online behaviour. Nearly an hour after Trump’s unhinged Easter morning post where he threatened to attack Iran’s civilian infrastructure should the regime not open the Strait of Hormuz, CNN’s Jake Tapper emphasized the “extraordinary graphic” nature of Trump’s words. “If your children are watching, be warned — the president did not use polite language,” advised the State of the Union host before reading Trump’s post in full, including his call for Iran to “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” He went on to note that destroying civilian power infrastructure is “generally considered to constitute a war crime under international law, though the president could argue that the infrastructure has dual use and also is utilized by Iran’s military.” He proceeded to drop the word …

Savannah Guthrie Questions If Jesus Felt Same Grief Amid Nancy Disappearance

Savannah Guthrie shared an Easter message with the parishioners of Good Shepherd New York in a digital message posted Sunday to YouTube, where she questioned whether Jesus “ever experienced this particular wound that I feel,” referring to the disappearance of her mom. Guthrie’s mom, Nancy, disappeared Feb. 1 from her home in Tucson, Ariz. Guthrie, the co-anchor on NBC‘s Today, has been off the air since then, with her return set for Monday, which will mark the 65th day since Nancy disappeared. As of yet, there are no suspects nor has there been proof of life. On Sunday, she appeared in Good Shepherd New York’s video, where she asked several questions that she said she’s been mulling. “Good morning, everybody. Happy Easter,” Guthrie said. “And Easter is happy. It is flowers and pastels and baby bunnies. It is sunshine and joy and hope. It is rebirth and second chances and new life and fresh starts. It is the most important day of the year for all of us who believe, even more than Christ’s birth, …

Peter Alexander Out at NBC News Today, Likely Going to MS NOW

Peter Alexander, the veteran NBC News chief White House correspondent and the co-anchor of the Saturday edition of the Today show, is leaving the network. Alexander announced the decision on the Today show Saturday morning. A spokesperson for MS Now declined to comment. A 20-year veteran of NBC News, Alexander has been chief White House correspondent for the network since 2023, and has worked as a White House correspondent and a national correspondent for NBC since 2012. He has co-anchored the Saturday edition of Today since 2018.
