The late Queen feared she was being recorded secretly by Harry and Meghan for Netflix, her biographer has claimed. Hugo Vickers, who met Elizabeth II on more than 40 occasions, has written a biography in which he claims the monarch would ask her lady-in-waiting to stay with her during calls with her grandson. The author of Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History says: “The distress the Sussexes caused the Queen in the last years of her life cannot be overestimated.” Now, in an interview with the Daily T, Mr Vickers has claimed the Queen, who died in 2022 aged 96, worried about having face-to-face conversations with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for fear of the discussions being leaked. Her grandson and his wife stepped down as working members of the Royal family in 2020. They gave a revealing interview to Oprah Winfrey and recorded a six-part docuseries for Netflix, in which they discussed the intimate details of “Megxit”. When complete, the 76-storey Nobu Manchester building will surpass the current tallest skyscraper outside London — currently Deansgate Square’s South Tower — and become the third tallest in the UK. The 246-metre tall skyscraper is set to include a 160-room hotel, 452 privately-owned serviced residences and a Nobu restaurant. Work is set to begin on the new £350million tower sometime this year, with the building expected to be complete before 2030. “I look forward to coming back when it is finished, if not before,” the star said in November 2025, as per the BBC. “I think it is going to take six years and I plan to be around.” He continued: “I haven’t seen the city yet but I’d like to come back. Everyone is very nice, we’re having a very nice time. In a mostly earnest, insightful and educational conversation about health, food noise, GLP-1s and the dangers of not recognizing obesity as a disease, Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King delivered some moments of levity as only best friends can do during a special appearance at 92nd Street Y. The two appeared at New York’s cultural and community center Tuesday with King acting as moderator for a conversation that featured Winfrey and Dr. Ania M. Jastreboff discussing their new book, Enough: Your Health, Your Weight and What It’s Like to Be Free.
