Nearly three million (2.92 million to be exact) Outlander fans time-traveled to the week of March 6-12, 2026 to watch the Starz series’ final season premiere — the largest audience for the show in four years. In this final season, the war follows Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitríona Balfe) to Fraser’s Ridge. There, the married couple finds that a whole lot has changed since they last called the North Carolina spot home. “With new arrivals and changes made during their years away, the Frasers are confronted with the question of what they are willing to sacrifice for the place they call home and, more importantly, what they would sacrifice to stay together,” the official season eight synopsis reads. “While the Frasers keep a united front against outside intruders, family secrets finally coming to light threaten to tear them apart from the inside. The trailer for the highly anticipated eighth and final season of Outlander has dropped, teasing the conclusion of Claire and Jamie’s iconic love story after more than a decade. The time-traveling romance drama returns Friday, March 6, with new episodes streaming weekly Fridays on all Starz platforms. The final trailer (below) hints at heartwarming and heartbreaking moments for the Fraser family, with several familiar faces returning and reuniting. The series is inspired by Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books. A host of new cast members have been announced for upcoming Netflix series Kennedy, a drama about the Kennedy dynasty starring Michael Fassbender. While Fassbender’s involvement as Joe Kennedy Sr had already been announed, new cast members joining the series include Outlander’s Laura Donnelly as his wife, Rose Kennedy, and The Crown’s Ben Miles his longtime aide Eddie Moore. The seventh season finale blew the doors all the way open for what could transpire.
