AWS Quick’s personal knowledge graph is making orchestration decisions most control planes can’t see

Enterprise AI teams running centralized orchestration stacks now have a new variable to account for: AWS Quick, which expanded this week to a desktop-native agent that builds a persistent personal knowledge graph and executes actions across local files and SaaS tools — outside the visibility of most control planes. Unlike chat-based copilots that reset with each session, Quick now maintains a continuously updated knowledge graph built from the user’s local files, calendar, email and connected SaaS apps. It uses it to proactively trigger actions without waiting to be asked. AWS launched Quick in October last year as an alternative to AI workflow and productivity platforms coming from Google, OpenAI and Anthropic. It was a way for enterprise employees to access insights from connected applications, an agent builder, deep research, and workflow automation. Now, it’s grown beyond a simple AI assistant and acts more as a proactive workflow agent with a stateful, real-time knowledge graph of the user. It integrates with third-party apps like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Salesforce and Slack — and now local …

UK weather: Battered coasts, wobbly planes and closed roads as Storm Dave sweeps through | UK News

Storm Dave has led to road closures and train disruption in the UK. It comes as weather warnings have been lifted after the worst of the storm swept through the country. The Met Office said: “Storm Dave will clear away to the northeast on Sunday morning, leaving sunshine and showers across the UK. “Northern areas will see the heaviest, blustery showers and feel cold, while temperatures elsewhere stay closer to average for early April.” An amber wind warning, covering parts of northern England, Scotland and Wales, expired at 3am on Sunday. And three yellow warnings across parts of northern England, Scotland and Wales were lifted later in the morning. Before the amber alert ended, the Met Office had forecast “severe gales” across central and northern areas of the country overnight into Sunday. Several major bridges in Scotland had restrictions because of the high winds, including the Queensferry Crossing and the Forth Road Bridge near Edinburgh, Traffic Scotland warned early on Sunday. On Saturday, gusts of up to 66mph were recorded in north Wales, and the …

Spain closes airspace to US planes involved in war on Iran | US-Israel war on Iran News

The announcement comes after Madrid refused to let Washington use jointly operated military bases for the US-Israel war on Iran. Published On 30 Mar 202630 Mar 2026 Spain has closed its airspace to planes of the United States involved in the US-Israel war on Iran, the latest step in the country’s opposition to the conflict. Defence Minister Margarita Robles confirmed the airspace closure to reporters on Monday after Spain’s El Pais newspaper first reported on it, quoting military sources. Recommended Stories list of 3 itemsend of list “This was made perfectly clear to the American military and forces from the very beginning. Therefore, neither the bases are authorised, nor, of course, is the use of Spanish airspace authorised for any actions related to the war in Iran,” Robles said. “I think everyone knows Spain’s position; it’s very clear,” the minister added, calling the war on Iran “profoundly illegal and profoundly unjust”. Spain had already said earlier this month that the US could not use jointly operated military bases in the war, which Spanish Prime Minister …

Streaming Wars Takes to the Skies as Starlink Internet Gets on Planes

Streaming Wars Takes to the Skies as Starlink Internet Gets on Planes

Earlier this week, I woke up my phone and opened the YouTube app, watching some sports highlights, before switching to Netflix and finishing an old episode of Arrested Development. It was wholly unremarkable, save for the fact that we were cruising at 32,000 feet. United Airlines is in the midst of installing Starlink internet across its fleet, and this was a demo flight, meant to demonstrate how the SpaceX-powered satellite internet service can deliver broadband as fast as you can get at home, even when cruising at 580 miles per hour six miles above the earth. But United’s push to bring free high-speed internet to its aircraft also underscores what will become a new reality as other airlines follow: The streaming wars will soon take to the skies. Flyers, once limited to what was licensed on the seatback screens (assuming they were even on a plane that had them), will soon be able to bring their own entertainment, be it TikTok, YouTube, Netflix, or Fortnite. And airlines are going to adapt accordingly. “It’s about optionality,” …

Techno DJ jailed after selling 60,000 fake plane parts to major airlines

A former techno DJ is in jail after admitting to selling over 60,000 fake airplane parts to commercial airline companies around the world. A court in the United Kingdom sentenced 38-year-old Jose Alejandro Zamora Yrala to 56 months in prison for the scheme that even law enforcement officials had trouble comprehending. “Zamora’s operation risked public safety on a global scale in a way that defies belief,” Emma Luxton, director of operations for the UK’s Serious Fraud Office (SFO), said in a statement. In December 2025, Luxton also described the crime as a “significant and audacious fraud [that] threatened trust in the aviation industry and risked public safety on a global scale.” The con was only one facet of a nearly $53 million fraud campaign run under a shell company called AOG Technics. Between 2019 and 2023, Zamora used his personal computer to doctor actual safety certifications that he then attached to unlicensed plane engine components. Most of these were …

Why we need to move through different planes of motion and how to do it with just one move

Nowadays, a lot of people exercise so they can move well through life, and if that’s your goal too then you need to know about planes of movement. You move through different planes of motion daily, but you probably don’t know the technical terms for these planes of motion—until now! When you move forward and backward you are moving along the sagittal plane. Move side to side and that’s the frontal plane, and when you turn and rotate, you are moving in the transverse plane. You may like Intentionally training these movements will support and strengthen your capacity to move with control and ease while reducing your risk of injury, particularly as you age. That’s so on the rare occasion that you need to move side to side or turn, your body isn’t completely unprepared. With my personal training clients, there is one move I regularly program in warm-ups and strength workouts because its variations hit all three planes of motion simply and effectively. Cue, the lunge. 1. Forward and reverse lunge The most well-known …
