You Can Usually Tell How Smart Someone Is By These 10 Things They Do Pretty Much Every Day

High-IQ people have strong mental faculties and cognitive skills, which is why their intelligence is measured through testing. However, a high IQ doesn’t necessarily mean someone is smart. You can usually tell how smart someone is by certain things they do pretty much every day, not by a test score or an accumulation of knowledge. Whether it’s little hobbies like reading or experiences like talking to a stranger, their intelligence is proven and exercised through more noticeable habits and hobbies. You can usually tell how smart someone is by these 10 things they do pretty much every day 1. They change their minds simona pilolla 2 | Shutterstock Especially because they’re open to asking questions, leaning into things they don’t understand, and letting people speak their mind without trying to prove their own “correctness,” it’s not surprising that smart people change their minds often. For people who are willing to adopt new information and learn without getting defensive, changing their mind is a natural part of life. However, you can often tell the difference between …

Iran war ‘should be ending pretty soon’

President Donald Trump on Thursday said that “the war in Iran is going along swimmingly.” “It should be ending pretty soon,” Trump said at an event in Las Vegas, echoing similarly rosy predictions about the end of the war that he has made since the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran in late February. “It was perfect. It’s perfect. It was the power we have,” the president said. “We had the most powerful military anywhere in the world.” The president’s appearance was to promote his “no tax on tips” policy, which eliminated the federal income tax on tip-based wages for many workers. Hours earlier, Trump said that Israel and Lebanon had agreed to a 10-day ceasefire. Iran has complained about Israel’s continued attacks on Lebanon during its own 10-day ceasefire with the United States. Trump earlier Thursday said that a second round of face-to-face negotiations between Americans and Iranian officials could take place “probably, maybe, next weekend.” Source link

The war with Iran offers a snapshot of Trump world. It’s not a pretty picture.

The war with Iran offers a snapshot of Trump world. It’s not a pretty picture.

As the U.S. and Iran meet over the negotiating table in Pakistan this weekend, the outcome of Operation Epic Fury remains deeply uncertain. But one thing is clear: The war with Iran has offered a remarkably revealing snapshot of how the Trump administration really operates — inside the West Wing, across Washington and around the world. The picture that emerges is not a pretty one for President Donald Trump. The conflict has proved messier and more complex than Trump expected. The resulting energy shocks have damaged the domestic economy and alienated allies. The already-limited political support for the war at home has rapidly eroded, even among some of Trump’s erstwhile supporters. And the prospects for reaching a negotiated resolution that could satisfy both parties’ demands are far from certain. To help decipher this moment, we convened a roundtable of POLITICO reporters who have been closely covering the conflict: White House reporter Diana Nerozzi, senior Congress reporter Meredith Lee Hill, defense reporter Jack Detsch, national security reporter Daniella Cheslow, White House energy reporter Scott Waldman and …

That’s maybe my favourite.” She pauses. “The fans will come for me with pitchforks if I get the lore wrong.” The Lord of the Rings, in its way, explains a lot: the escapism, the dark fairytales, the compulsion to build whole mythologies out of feeling. Cruel World, Humberstone’s second album, is steeped in all of …

Trump ‘pretty sure’ of Iran deal, but can Pakistan-led efforts end the war? | US-Israel war on Iran News

Islamabad, Pakistan – When the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Egypt landed in Islamabad over the weekend, it marked the second meeting in less than two weeks of a diplomatic track working to contain the fallout of the US-Israel war on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory strikes across the region. Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed at the conclusion of Sunday’s consultations that the US and Iran had expressed confidence in Pakistan to facilitate direct talks. Islamabad, he said, was “honoured” to host them “in the coming days, for a comprehensive and lasting settlement of the ongoing conflict”. Samsung Frame Pro Review: A Good TV for a Pretty Living Room

Samsung Frame Pro Review: A Good TV for a Pretty Living Room

I also tested movies using the Mubi app because I’m a fuddy-duddy film fanatic, as well as a screener for Marty Supreme. Here’s where the upscaling, matte display, and AI truly shine: Marty Supreme is like an old ’70s flick, and The Frame Pro made me think I was in a movie theater. The matte display gave the Mubi films a more cinematic look. On an Xbox Series X, I watched the entire Predator: Badlands film using the 4K Blu-ray version. It’s worth noting that though the colors look great, Samsung models don’t support Dolby Vision HDR, instead going for standard HDR10+. For a more pure movie experience that disables any optimizations or AI enhancements, I tested the Filmmaker picture setting. In one scene, you can see the individual scales of the main character, which is awesome. The Frame Pro has plenty of built-in cloud gaming features beyond any consoles you connect locally. I tested Cyberpunk 2077 using the Steam app and also fired up Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II on the Xbox app with no …

Gang rape victim Noelia Castillo Ramos dies ‘looking pretty’ in last request before being euthanised

A young woman who jumped from a fifth-floor window after a horrific sexual assault has passed away after being granted permission. Noelia Castillo Ramos, 25, was left permanently paralysed by the fall and was euthanised today (March 26) despite plea’s from her family. Noelia’s mum Yolanda Ramos spent last night with her daughter at Sant Camil Hospital before the start of the scheduled 6pm local time procedure designed to “ensure a death without suffering.” Ramos is understood to have passed away around 20 minutes after receiving the first of three injections at a hospital near Barcelona. The first two jabs induced deep sedation and the third most potent one caused cardiac arrest, reports Daily Star. In a heart-wrenching interview just days before she passed away, she told reporters that she simply wanted to “leave in peace” after enduring years of pain and suffering. Ramos, from Barcelona, was given approval by the European Court of Human Rights and the Constitutional Court in Spain to finally end her suffering. Ramos said she wanted to “die looking pretty, …
