The Prince and Princess of Wales have written an emotional tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II on what would have been her 100th birthday. Prince William and Kate posted a beautiful photo of the former monarch, including one of her as a young woman. In a beautifully crafted message the royal couple wrote: “Remembering Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 100th anniversary of her birth. Inspiring generations through a lifetime of duty.” He acknowledged the many challenges and issues nationally and across the globe that may have caused her reason for concern, and renewed his “own solemn pledge of duty and service to you all”. Later today, the King will also attend a Buckingham Palace reception with charities and organisations associated with the late Queen invited, including Cancer Research UK, the Jockey Club and the Army Benevolent Fund. In 2019, she appeared on the BBC special of A Berry Royal Christmas and she revealed that she briefly worked as a waitress. In the show, she joked that she wasn’t very good at it! People reports that Princess Kate had served mocktails at a dry bar organized by the charity Action on Addiction, Kate told Mary Berry that “it reminded me of my university days when I did a bit of waitressing.” When asked by the former The Great British Baking Show judge if she was good at the gig, Kate replied, “No, I was terrible.” Kate studied at the University of St Andrews which is where she met Prince William – and her journey towards becoming part of the royal family began. …

Catherine, 44, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer at the start of 2024 and underwent six months of chemotherapy. Kensington Palace has announced an exciting appearance for Princess Catherine – and fans do not have long to wait. In her role as the Patron of the Rugby Football Union, the Princess of Wales will host a reception at Windsor Castle on Thursday for England’s Women’s Rugby Team following their World Cup victory last year. When they arrive, the players and team staff will be given a tour of the Castle before joining the Princess to celebrate their achievement.
