Madonna Invades Grindr to Promote New Album

Madonna Invades Grindr to Promote New Album

Fresh off a triumphant guest turn at Coachella, the Queen of Pop is doing what she does best — getting attention — in a different kind of crowded venue: the gay hookup app Grindr. As one of the “few brand partners hand-selected by the OG Mother,” a press release announces, the icon is “taking over” the yellow app to bring “community into her world — just in time for Pride season.” What that means for Grindr users right now is that their profile grid will always contain one square devoted to Madonna, reclining in a fuchsia body stalking with zebra stripes projected over her. Click on the square (which you can’t block) and you get a message from Madonna herself: “Hi Grindr. It’s Motha. I made an exclusive vinyl of my new album just for you. I could have dropped it anywhere but I wanted to go where the hottest action was, so I got on the grid. Are you ready for Confessions II?” Grindr teases that it is “just getting started” with the artist …

This sartorial nod aligns perfectly with the film’s plot, which sees a Boston couple’s impending nuptials thrown into chaos by a dark revelation ahead of its Friday release. Coincidentally, this bridal theme has also fuelled unconfirmed speculation that Zendaya may have already married Tom Holland, with rings she has been observed wearing adding to the rumours. How to Promote Your Comic

How to Promote Your Comic

How do you cut through the constant noise and clutter to grab the attention of the readers who have been waiting for a book like yours? By being as creative with your marketing as you are with writing and illustrating! For example, there’s The Primal of Blood and Bone, a vampire novel printed with “garlic-infused ink.” Less appetizing but just as attention-getting is the variant cover of horror comic Dark Regards printed with the blood of the writer, editor, and publisher. Streaming series The Comic Shop actually released a tie-in comic to promote the show. Coming up with such unique concepts is not always as easy as it sounds, and they’re not always easy to implement. To gain more insight into the process, I spoke with comic book writer Daniel Nayeri and his wife, author Alexandra Davis, about a most unusual promotional campaign they undertook late last year. The graphic novel series Nayeri writes, “The Bizarre Bazaar,” centers on a curio shop filled with strange and dangerous items. It made perfect sense to promote the …

Rams Promote Nate Scheelhaase to Offensive Coordinator, AP Source Says

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams are promoting assistant Nate Scheelhaase to offensive coordinator, a person with knowledge of the decision told The Associated Press on Friday. The person spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the Rams haven’t made a full announcement of coach Sean McVay’s new staff for the upcoming season. Scheelhaase replaces Mike LaFleur, who became the Arizona Cardinals’ head coach this month. The 35-year-old Scheelhaase became a rising star in NFL coaching circles last season. He interviewed for at least five head coaching vacancies in the past two months. He spent the previous two years as a top offensive assistant to McVay and LaFleur, receiving the title of pass game coordinator last season while the Rams went 14-6 and reached the NFC title game. Although McVay calls Los Angeles’ plays and leads the design of their offense, Scheelhaase will be the Rams’ fifth offensive coordinator during McVay’s 10 seasons in charge. All four assistants who previously held that title have gone on to become head coaches, as …

Stay ahead of the curve with our weekly guide to the latest trends, fashion, relationships and more Stay ahead of the curve with our weekly guide to the latest trends, fashion, relationships and more Stay ahead of the curve with our weekly guide to the latest trends, fashion, relationships and more The International Olympics Committee is under fire over the sale of a T-shirt that features artwork from the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, which Adolf Hitler used to promote Nazi Germany. The Olympics’ official online shop has sold out of the controversial T-shirt, which replicates designs from the propaganda used 90 years ago: a man wearing a laurel crown, the Olympic rings and the Brandenburg Gate. Introduced as part of the Olympic Heritage Collection, the limited-edition shirt immediately sparked backlash for commemorating the dark time in Germany’s history. “History should be taught, not merchandised,” one X user wrote on social media. Another said: “Shocking sell-out—Olympics merch team really thought Nazi-era Berlin art was a good vibe? History lesson needed ASAP.” One person criticized on Reddit, …

Your hair myths, debunked: does rosemary oil promote hair growth & more?

Your hair myths, debunked: does rosemary oil promote hair growth & more?

Hair has always carried cultural weight and kudos. From Bardot’s effortlessly undone volume to the long, glossy lengths of Bond-era Sophie Marceau; from Jane Birkin’s insouciant, cool-girl fringe, to Grace Jones’ iconic‘80s flat top and Farrah Fawcett’s feathered flicks, great hair has always been endlessly celebrated, analysed and mimicked. Across decades and genres, these signature styles have shaped beauty ideals, reflected cultural shifts and cemented hair as one of the most powerful tools of self-expression. More recently, vital, glossy, healthy-looking hair has become the industry’s holy grail – a shift that has arrived alongside an explosion of advice and products promising to deliver it, often with confidence and insufficient scrutiny. Social platforms, in particular, have elevated certain oils, supplements and massage techniques into supposed miracle treatments capable of delivering the hair of our dreams. Keen to learn more about caring for hair – and to bust a few of the myths doing the rounds, rosemary oil for accelerated growth among them – we got in touch with Anabel Kingsley, Brand President and Consultant Trichologist at …

Using CARE to Promote Collaborative Co-Parenting

Using CARE to Promote Collaborative Co-Parenting

C.A.R.E. is an acronym for the mindset necessary to improve your ability to solve problems during a conflict. It can be a conflict with anyone. Of course, most of my clients are co-parents, but C.A.R.E. works with best friends, crotchety bosses, contrary children, as well as an ex with whom you no longer feel you have anything in common. When you are having a disagreement, think C.A.R.E.: C Is for Communication I have worked with thousands of co-parents over the years. Everyone tells me the reason they are there is, “We need to improve our communication. We can’t talk to each other.” Say that in court, and the order becomes “communicate only in writing.” This is done to verify who is the instigator of the disagreements. “Texting okay” is often added to the court order in an effort to allow some sort of parental communication, albeit limited. Texting is convenient, but it is not a communication tool. It’s a notification tool. It’s something you use to tell your co-parent you will be 15 minutes late …
