A teenage e-biker carrying two knives was rushed to hospital following a crash involving a suspected drug driver. Emergency services were called out to a crash involving a green BMW X2 and a Surron e-bike on Barlow Moor Road, in Chorlton, on Saturday night (February 14). The major road was closed off by 8pm, close to Southern Cemetery. Police and paramedics were called out to the scene, with an air ambulance also seen landing nearby as part of the response. Greater Manchester Police says the e-bike rider, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to Salford Royal Infirmary with non-life-threatening injuries. He was found to be in possession of a machete and a locking knife at the crash scene. A moped rider has died in an alleged hit-and-run in southwest London. The rider collided with a car in Kingston, and the vehicle’s driver failed to stop, according to the Metropolitan Police. The crash happened on Saturday at 11.37pm on Wood Street at the junction with Horse Fair. Police said the moped rider, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene. But the driver of the car, which is described as dark-coloured, allegedly drove off. Police are now trying to find the motorist. No arrests have been made at this stage, and specialist officers are supporting the victim’s family. Iranian security forces shot dead a teenage motorcycle influencer who posted videos of herself online without a headscarf, human rights groups have reported. Diana Bahador, a 19-year-old from northern Gonbad-e-Kavus known online as Baby Rider, was killed on Jan 8 in Gorgan during protests against the Islamic Republic. She was reportedly shot twice with live ammunition around midnight, and her body was returned to her family two days later, the Hyrcani Human Rights group reported. Iranian state media disputed the account, saying Ms Bahador’s real name was Shahrzad Mokhami, who died Jan 22 in a crash in Golestan province when she lost control and hit a highway guardrail. A woman has received a life sentence for murder after ploughing into an e-bike rider with her Range Rover in a case of mistaken identity. Zoe Treadwell, 36, hit speeds of 75mph chasing Joey Johnstone, 28, down residential streets before striking him and leaving him for dead. Winchester Crown Court heard how she tried to “obliterate” the father-of-three by hitting him with the two-tonne vehicle in Bournemouth, Dorset, on 9 April last year. Police said Mr Johnstone was targeted in a case of mistaken identity – with Treadwell believing he was her former partner, Joshua Lovell, who also rode an e-bike. A suspected hitman who disguised himself as a Deliveroo e-bike rider to shoot three people, including a girl celebrating her eighth birthday, has been jailed for 38 years.
