Bryson Tiller Bolts Kansas for Rival Missouri After a Breakout Freshman Season

Bryson Tiller Bolts Kansas for Rival Missouri After a Breakout Freshman Season

Bryson Tiller is leaving Kansas for bitter rival Missouri after a promising and productive freshman season with the Jayhawks. The 6-foot-11 forward arrived in Lawrence before the spring semester in 2025 and redshirted before playing last season, when Tiller was a regular in the starting lineup. He averaged 7.9 points and 6.1 rebounds, and one of his best games for Kansas came against the Tigers, when he had 13 points, five rebounds and five blocks in an 80-60 rout at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Missouri has been active in the transfer portal, landing Tennessee forward Jaylen Carey and Providence forward Jamier Jones. Tiller visited the Tigers on Sunday and made the decision to join coach Dennis Gates over interest from Michigan, Georgia Tech, NC State, Arizona and others. He visited Miami but canceled a planned visit to Arizona. Kansas already lost another big man, Flory Bidunga, who decided to transfer to Louisville. Copyright 2026 The Associated Press. Orbán and Magyar hold rival rallies in Hungary ahead of Sunday’s elections

Orbán and Magyar hold rival rallies in Hungary ahead of Sunday’s elections

Voters in Hungary go to the polls tomorrow, with a high-profile American endorsement looming over the campaign. Donald Trump has made no secret of his support for Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, posting on social media urging Hungarians to vote for him, while Vice President JD Vance spent two days in Budapest this week effectively campaigning on his behalf. It is part of a broader pattern: Trump has openly backed candidates in elections across Latin America, Asia and Eastern Europe, breaking with a long-standing US tradition of staying out of other countries’ politics. Amazon Delays Launch of Leo, Its Satellite Network and Starlink Rival

Amazon Delays Launch of Leo, Its Satellite Network and Starlink Rival

Amazon’s Leo satellite network is facing delays, CEO Andy Jassy announced on Thursday. In a letter to shareholders (PDF), Jassy said the service is now expected to launch “mid-2026.” He also said that companies such as Delta Airlines, JetBlue, AT&T, NASA and more have committed to using the service when it is available. Amazon Leo (which stands for low Earth orbit) is a satellite communications network that aims to provide high-speed — and affordable — internet service around the world. If successful, it could be a prominent competitor to Elon Musk’s SpaceX and its Starlink service. But to get there, Amazon will have to find a way to make up for lost time.  Currently, there are more than 10,000 SpaceX satellites in space. Amazon Leo has just under 250. Amazon is also currently facing a tight deadline from the Federal Communications Commission, which ordered the company to have around 1,600 satellites in space by July. Amazon has since formally asked for an extension until 2028, but the FCC has not yet announced its decision.  Watch this: Amazon’s Project Kuiper Internet Satellites …

Orbán’s rival Magyar slams JD Vance’s Hungary visit as election meddling – POLITICO

Orbán’s rival Magyar slams JD Vance’s Hungary visit as election meddling – POLITICO

For Orbán — who has ruled Hungary for 16 years and built a system he calls “illiberal democracy” — the visit is a chance to project international support at a critical moment in the campaign. POLITICO’s Poll of Polls shows Fidesz trailing Magyar’s opposition Tisza party. Vance is not the first senior U.S. figure to deploy to Budapest ahead of the election. His trip follows a February visit by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who declared a “golden age” in U.S.-Hungarian relations. The campaign trail has seen controversy and accusations of foreign interference that extend beyond the U.S. Hungary’s Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó acknowledged talking with Russian officials as EU ministers weighed new sanctions, with reports suggesting Budapest sought to weaken measures targeting Russian elites and oil shipments. Meanwhile, a documentary by independent journalists, The Price of a Vote, alleged widespread vote-buying and pressure on voters in rural areas — claims the government has dismissed as politically motivated. Hungary has been in this position before. In 2022, a united opposition was also expected to challenge …

Why One Las Vegas Newspaper Just Stopped Printing Its Rival

Why One Las Vegas Newspaper Just Stopped Printing Its Rival

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Las Vegas Review-Journal announced Friday that it will no longer print its rival the Las Vegas Sun for the first time in decades, sharpening their legal dispute over the nation’s last joint operating agreement stemming from a 1970 law designed to preserve newspapers. Readers “will not find a printed Las Vegas Sun insert inside,” the Review-Journal wrote in an editorial, noting the Sun maintains a website, has a few hundred thousand followers across social media platforms, and is free to produce its own newspaper. “We encourage them to do so. The Review-Journal competes with countless sources of news and entertainment, but we would welcome one more. We just don’t want to foot the bill. It is time the Sun stood up on its own two feet,” the editorial said, without specifying the cost. It was the first day in 76 years the Sun hasn’t been printed, Sun attorney Leif Reid said in an email. “This does irreparable harm to our community, as no one benefits when a local newspaper is …

Orban on the brink – but his rival may spring a surprise on the EU

Orban on the brink – but his rival may spring a surprise on the EU

In the 16 years since he became prime minister of Hungary for a second time, no one has come close to unseating Viktor Orban. But if polls are to be believed, one man may have found the solution to defeat the EU’s most authoritarian and pro-Putin leader: become him. Péter Magyar is the front-runner in an April 12 election that is a two-man race with the nationalist conservative Mr Orban, who is gunning for a fifth straight election win. Mr Magyar is no woke liberal. He is determined not to be seen as a Europhile centrist like other opposition leaders who have tried and failed to beat the Eurosceptic prime minister. Peter Magyar is trying not to come across as too much pro-EU and pro-Ukraine – but time will tell if he wins the Hungarian elections – Attila Kisbenedek/AFP via Getty “I know the guy,” an EU diplomat in Brussels said of Mr Magyar. “Ten years ago, he was in the Hungarian embassy. We used to call him ‘Baby Orban’. “He’s at pains to avoid …

Apple Plans to Let Rival AI Chatbots Integrate With Siri in iOS 27

Apple Plans to Let Rival AI Chatbots Integrate With Siri in iOS 27

Apple plans to allow third-party AI chatbots to integrate with Siri in iOS 27, reports Bloomberg. Apple already has a partnership with OpenAI that lets ‌Siri‌ hand questions off to ChatGPT, but Apple will expand that integration to other companies like Google and Anthropic. An iPhone user with the Claude or Gemini app installed will be able to send questions to those chatbots, like how the current ChatGPT feature works. Right now, if a user has a question that ‌Siri‌ cannot handle, ‌Siri‌ suggests sending it to ChatGPT. Users can also ask ‌Siri‌ to query ChatGPT. iPhone users will be able to select which services they want to use inside ‌Siri‌ through “Extensions” options coming to ‌iOS 27‌, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27. The options will be available in the Apple Intelligence and ‌Siri‌ section of the Settings app, with Apple providing download links for chatbot apps. AI apps installed through the App Store will be able to work with ‌Siri‌, including with Apple’s planned ‌Siri‌ app and other ‌Apple Intelligence‌ features. Bloomberg suggests that …

Ultrahuman, Oura’s Biggest Rival, Returns to the US With Its New Ring Pro

Ultrahuman, Oura’s Biggest Rival, Returns to the US With Its New Ring Pro

Smart-ring company Ultrahuman made its grand return to the US market on Tuesday, following a patent dispute with rival Oura that locked it out of the country since late 2025. Now, US Customs and Border Protection has cleared the company to operate in the US, and its newly announced Ring Pro is available to preorder immediately. Back in August 2025, the US International Trade Commission ruled in Oura’s favor in a patent dispute against both Ultrahuman and Ringconn over the internal architecture of their rings. Ringconn reached a royalties agreement with Oura, but Ultrahuman instead stopped selling its Ring Air, while it worked on the design of Ring Pro. At the end of February, Ultrahuman unveiled its new creation and began selling it in the global market while it waited for clearance to sell it in the US. That clearance has now come through, allowing Ultrahuman — which along with Samsung, has the second-biggest market share of the smart ring market after Oura — to tempt American buyers with its wearable tech once more. “We’re …

I tested a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 rival with a design I didn’t think was ever possible

I tested a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 rival with a design I didn’t think was ever possible

Prakhar Khanna/ZDNET Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. Last year, Samsung closed the gap between its Fold lineup and folding phones from China with the Galaxy Z Fold 7. But Oppo has come up with another exceptional innovation that puts its new folding phone ahead of rivals.  The Oppo Find N6 isn’t as light as the Galaxy Z Fold 7, but this is the first foldable with an almost creaseless inner screen – one that feels like a true mini tablet. I’ve been using the new Oppo phone for two weeks, and I’m glad I switched from the Fold 7. It’s the closest to being the perfect foldable phone for me. And while Samsung’s option remains one of my favorite phones, Oppo has added quality-of-life upgrades that are hard to ignore. Let me break them down. 1. Where’s the crease? Oppo Find N6 (left) and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 (right) Prakhar Khanna/ZDNET All foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, have a bump in the middle of their folding screen, called …
