Tourettes campaigner Davidson was attending the ceremony to celebrate the success of I Swear, which was based on his extraordinary life and efforts to raise awareness of the condition. Davidson, who has completely uncontrollable tics, could be heard shouting the slur as actors Michael B Jordan and Delroy Lindo presented the award for special effects after the BBC failed to edit it out.
