Astrology in Washington, DC and on Wall Street: Andrew Ross Sorkin and Sally Quinn Talk the Powerful and the Occult

Astrology in Washington, DC and on Wall Street: Andrew Ross Sorkin and Sally Quinn Talk the Powerful and the Occult

Quinn: All of the above. And yes, I know many powerful people over the many years who go to astrologers. In the State Department, I once suggested they hire an astrologer on their staff. All of the people in the Middle East and India—half the world—they all have their own shamans or astrologers. It’s really important to know what their astrologers are telling them! If you have someone who can read signs and tell you what’s going on in [Russian president Vladimir] Putin’s chart, you might have a better idea of what he’s going to do. Because they’re all reading the charts. Sorkin: See, what was so interesting to me when I was thinking about Evangeline Adams—clearly there were lots of bankers going to visit her, including reported visits from J.P. Morgan back in the day. But today, a lot of the hedge fund managers, I don’t think they go to astrologers. They go to “performance coaches” like Tony Robbins. Paul Tudor Jones talks to Tony Robbins apparently every single day. I think it’s more …

Blake’s 7 star Sally Knyvette reveals why she doesn’t regret leaving

Blake’s 7 legend Sally Knyvette has opened up about why she doesn’t regret leaving the sci-fi show early. The iconic series, which is set to be rebooted by director Peter Hoar, ran from 1978 to 1982, with Knyvette, who played Jenna Stannis, exiting after the second season, in 1979. She’s been open about being disappointed about how her character ended up being written, describing her as going from “intergalactic space pirate” to “dolly bird”. Speaking exclusively to Radio Times about whether she’s ever regretted leaving the show, Knyvette said: “No. I was young, I was unformed. The BBC, at that time, was a difficult place for young girls, if you looked a certain way. “I needed to develop my own backbone, my own voice, and going to university helped me do that. It gave me confidence. I didn’t have that inner confidence and just going away and trying to work on who I was and developing my understanding of literature and particularly Shakespeare, which is my big love, it all has held me in fantastic …

NCIS: LA star Daniela Ruah says new romance film was inspired by When Harry Met Sally — exclusive

Three years after the end of NCIS: LA, the canceled CBS show is still inspiring its stars.  Daniela Ruah, who starred as Kensi Blye for 14 seasons, is making her short film directorial debut at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Saturday, February 7, and shares with HELLO! “the biggest lesson” she took away from her experience directing six episodes of her procedural show, as well as its spin-offs and The Equalizer. © SOPA Images/LightRocket via GettDaniela Ruah during the second day of the Tribeca Festival Lisboa 2025 “When you direct on a network television show, especially a procedural, the efficiency with which you have to move is essential,” says Daniela.  “You have to be extremely well-prepared. Anything can happen or change, so you just have to keep adapting. The biggest lesson I learned shooting the episodic procedurals is to be as prepared as you can, so everything is ready; you can pivot on the day if you have to, you can answer everybody’s questions if need be. It is a grand multitasking sport, this …

Worried about not being able to get up if you fall down? These four mobility moves from Olympian Sally Gunnell can help

A big concern for many of my senior personal training clients is falling over and not being able to get back up again. Staying mobile is the key to independent living in older age, and regular movement and stretching can help achieve this. That’s why I’m adding this four-move mobility routine by Olympian Sally Gunnell to my older clients’ fitness regime. You may like Gunnell first rose to fame at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, winning gold for Great Britain in the 400m hurdles. She is the only woman to hold simultaneous Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth titles. The former track-and-field athlete turned coach says one of the reasons she exercises is so that she can easily get up off the floor, and shared her “go-to morning mobility routine”. Sally Gunnell’s four-move mobility routine How to make this mobility routine knee-friendly If you struggle to kneel, you can still do Gunnell’s workout—just with these modifications. 1.
