Rob Schneider Urges U.S. to ‘Restore the Military Draft’ Amid Iran War

Rob Schneider is calling for the United States to “restore the military draft for our nation’s young people” amid the country’s ongoing war with Iran. The actor and comedian, who has never served in the military, recently took to X to share his thoughts, writing, “We must once again recommit ourselves to one Nation under God, indivisible. Therefore, we must restore the military draft for our Nation’s young people.” “Each and every American, at eighteen years of age, must serve two years of military service. They could also choose to serve part of that time overseas or in country in a volunteer capacity,” the Grown Ups actor continued. “Being a citizen of the United States gives us unparalleled Freedoms and opportunities that are the envy of the world. However, these Freedoms that we cherish do not come without a cost. By protecting and preserving these Freedoms, young people, regardless of race, creed or religion will be united in service to their country and just as importantly, to each other.” Schneider went on to explain why …

The Neocons’ Revenge? | Osita Nwanevu, Suzanne Schneider

Since Donald Trump’s improbable first win in 2016, pundits have passed countless hours trying to understand how his rise, and the populist movement that powered it, have changed American conservatism. If Ronald Reagan’s Republican Party was, famously, a three-legged stool consisting of social traditionalists, free-market champions, and foreign interventionists, Trump’s MAGA coalition has swelled its ranks, at peril of some internal contradiction. In today’s GOP, Middle East hawks sit next to America First isolationists, former Goldman Sachs executives beside tariff truthers, immigration hardliners with H1B exceptionalists, and Christian Zionists with self-professed antisemites. Over the course of a turbulent decade in and out of power, Trump at times seems to have kept the movement together through sheer force of personality. The offensive against Iran that Trump’s administration launched on February 28 may pose the most significant challenge to the coalition to date. Having campaigned as a “peace president,” Trump now presides over an immediately unpopular war and has angered many in his base who voted to end the foreign entanglements he too claimed to hate. In …

The B-52’s frontman Fred Schneider, 74, steps out 50 years after band was formed

B-52’s frontman Fred Schneider was virtually unrecognizable as he stepped out at the Save the Chimps’ 25th Anniversary Gala in New York City on Tuesday alongside his bandmate, Kate Pierson. The 74-year-old looked stylish in a graphic tee, a sparkling black blazer and black trousers, paired with a trucker cap and colorful sneakers. Kate, 77, opted for a brighter look with a green pantsuit and a velvet blazer, and wore her vibrant red hair down in soft curls. Their appearance at the event marked 50 years since their band was first formed back in 1976. Rob Schneider faces third divorce as wife files after 15 years

Rob Schneider’s wife has filed for divorce from the Grown Ups actor after 15 years of marriage. Patricia Azarcoya, 37, filed in December, claiming that their marriage was “irretrievably broken and there is no possibility of reconciliation”. The pair are in the process of negotiating child support, custody and spousal support, and signed off on a court order to keep several of their divorce documents confidential, including their custody agreement.  Rob first met Patricia in 2007 on the set of a TV show, when he was 44 years old, and she was 19. They tied the knot four years later in Beverly Hills, and he shared in a statement that it was “the happiest day of my life”. “Patricia and I were surrounded by our closest friends and family,” he added. “We had a great time at the wedding and are looking forward to our honeymoon.” They welcomed their daughter Miranda in November 2012, followed by Madeline in September 2016. © Getty ImagesRob and Patricia were married for 15 years Although the couple was largely …

L’Affaire Carlson | Suzanne Schneider

On November 5 the president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, convened an uncomfortable meeting. “I made a mistake, and I let you down,” he told a hall full of the conservative think tank’s staff and fellows in a video leaked to The Washington Free Beacon. A week earlier Roberts had recorded a staunch defense of Tucker Carlson, whose recent interview with Nick Fuentes, the stridently racist, misogynistic, and antisemitic online personality, had split the conservative world in two. Fuentes, a white nationalist, peppers his praise for Hitler with denunciations of the state of Israel and its American lobbyists. Carlson, for his part, was careful to stop short of blaming the Jews for Israel’s conduct during the interview with Fuentes and distances himself from the overtly fascist right. (“I’m totally anti-Nazi,” he told the podcaster Theo Von last week.) But over the past several years he has made his own rogue forays into openly antisemitic territory: promoting “replacement theory,” accusing George Soros of waging a “demographic war on the West,” and describing the Holocaust revisionist …
