Voters who say economic and political systems are stacked against them tie a record high

Voters who say economic and political systems are stacked against them tie a record high

Nearly 6 in 10 voters say the economic and political systems are stacked against people like them, tying a record high over roughly 40 years of national NBC News polling. According to the latest NBC News survey, 59% of registered voters agreed that those systems are stacked against them, while 38% disagreed with that sentiment and 3% were not sure. The share who agreed with that notion tied a high point in April 1992, a record set after NBC News began polling this question in 1988. An overwhelming share of voters (84%) say they agree with the statement that “the very rich and powerful are above the law when they do something wrong, they look out for each other, using their power and connections to get special treatment,” while 14% disagree and 2% agree. And among those who agree with that statement, two-thirds say that the notion that the rich and powerful are above the law has gotten worse over the past five or 10 years, while 29% say it has stayed the same and …

Exclusive-Broadcom expects to sell 1 million 3D stacked chips by 2027

Exclusive-Broadcom expects to sell 1 million 3D stacked chips by 2027

SAN JOSE, California, Feb 26 : Artificial intelligence chip designer Broadcom said that it expects to sell at least 1 million chips by 2027 based on its stacked design tech, an executive told Reuters on Wednesday. The forecast, which Reuters is the first to report, marks a new product and sales target for Broadcom that could represent a revenue stream potentially worth billions of dollars. Harish Bharadwaj, vice president of product marketing, said the 1 million chips the company projects it will sell are based on an approach Broadcom developed that stacks two chips on top of one another, allowing the distinct pieces of silicon to be tightly bound to improve the speed at which data can flow from one chip to another. The company has refined the technology over five years to the point where its first customer, Fujitsu, is making engineering samples to test the design. Fujitsu plans to produce the stacked, or 3D, chips later this year.  The million-chip figure includes several additional designs beyond the Fujitsu chip. The company’s stacking approach …

‘There were layers of bodies stacked on top of each other’

‘There were layers of bodies stacked on top of each other’

At the Kahrizak forensic center in Tehran, January 10, 2026. @VAHID ONLINE VIA TELEGRAM Kiarash had only managed a few hours of sleep since Saturday, January 10. The dull thud of three bodies collapsing around him during a protest in Tehran still echoed in his mind. “I was at Kadj Square [northwest]. We were chanting: ‘Death to [Ali] Khamenei.’ I saw a woman in a chador walk by. Then I heard: ‘Click. Click.’ A man fell to the ground next to me. The woman in the chador moved forward. I saw her pistol with a silencer. Click. Click. One bullet to the head. One bullet to the legs. A second body fell, then a third. I shouted: ‘Catch her! She’s shooting at people!’ I don’t know if it was really a woman or a man disguised under the chador. She ran off, and I lost sight of her in the crowd.” Kiarash (who preferred not to reveal his last name) was in Iran during the recent wave of protests. He returned home to Europe on …
