‘STAGED’: Conspiracy Theories Are Everywhere Following White House Correspondents’ Dinner Shooting

In the immediate aftermath of the attack on the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday night, influencers, pundits, and random posters lit up social media platforms like X, Bluesky, and Instagram with conspiracy theories about the attack and the alleged shooter. Both left and right-wing accounts claimed, without evidence, that the attack was staged. President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and dozens of other high-profile administration officials and journalists were attending the dinner at the Hilton hotel in Washington, DC, when a suspect, later identified by media reports as Cole Tomas Allen from California, allegedly ran past security towards the event. He was detained by law enforcement while the president and vice president were evacuated. Police said that they believe Cole acted alone, but did not expand on who his intended target was or what his motive may have been. “We believe the suspect was targeting administration officials,” acting attorney general Todd Blanche told NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday morning. On Bluesky, which has a predominantly left-leaning user base, many people simply wrote …

MAGA Is Increasingly Convinced the Trump Assassination Attempt Was Staged

In recent weeks, as criticism of President Donald Trump from his own supporters has reached a fever pitch, a new conspiracy theory has taken hold: Some of the president’s biggest supporters are now claiming, without evidence, that Trump staged the assassination attempt on his life in Butler, Pennsylvania in 2024 and is covering it up. During an open-air campaign rally on July 13, 2024, Trump survived an attempted assassination when a bullet fired by a 20-year-old on a roof nearby clipped the top of his ear. Corey Comperatore, a Trump supporter sitting near the president, was shot and killed. The shooter was later killed by Secret Service agents. Conspiracy theories around the Butler assassination quickly permeated the internet, but for many Trump supporters, his survival was seen as a sign from God that he was the chosen one. As Trump’s hold over MAGA has waned, though, an increasing number of his supporters have begun to push the narrative that the entire incident was staged. “I think that maybe it was staged,” Tim Dillon said on …

Jesse Ventura Claims Trump Staged Assassination Attempt With Wrestling ‘Blade Job’ On His Own Ear

Jesse Ventura Claims Trump Staged Assassination Attempt With Wrestling ‘Blade Job’ On His Own Ear

Authored by Steve Watson via modernity.news, Jesse Ventura went full conspiracy mode on Piers Morgan’s show, suggesting President  Trump faked the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, complete with a self-inflicted “blade job” cut to his ear for dramatic effect. The former Minnesota governor and wrestling personality repeatedly questioned the authenticity of the event that left Trump bloodied but defiant, while downplaying the death of Corey Comperatore, the firefighter who was killed shielding his family. Morgan highlighted Trump’s immediate response: standing up and pumping his fist with the call “fight, fight, fight.” “Oh yeah, right, right, right. You ever hear of a blade job?” Ventura replied. Morgan pressed back: “A blade? What, you think it was fake?” “I don’t know. Where’s his scar today?” Ventura said. “Somebody died, literally, sitting behind him,” Morgan countered Ventura continued: “Come on, Piers. You’re gonna tell me this guy’s a big hero now?” “I thought that day he was, yeah,” Morgan responded. “Yeah, well, then he accomplished what he wanted out of you guys,” Ventura shot back. …

As Bad Bunny Slayed the Super Bowl, Turning Point USA Staged Its Own Weird Little Event

As Bad Bunny Slayed the Super Bowl, Turning Point USA Staged Its Own Weird Little Event

Things devolved from there. After Gilbert rapped—yes, rapped—during his second number, “Dirt Road Anthem,” country music artist and American Idol third runner up Gabby Barrett took the stage for her set. Wearing what can only be described as an oversized, wrinkled Hillary Clinton-style pantsuit, a shoeless Barrett sang her songs “I Hope” and “The Good One.” At least she utilized the entire stage, walking barefoot down the runway in what must have been an OHSA violation. Then there was Lee Brice, sporting a leather jacket, an acoustic guitar, and face sweat. His song “It Ain’t Easy Being Country These Days” underscored the tenets of the All American Halftime Show, painting conservatives as an oppressed class. “If I tell my own daughter that little boys ain’t little girls // I’ll be up the creek in hot water in this crazy ass world,” he sang, getting a big cheer from the audience. After Brice’s snooze of a ballad, the man of the hour took the stage: Kid Rock. Wearing a black shirt, cut off jean shorts, and …
