War, Violence, and the Internalized Male Toxicity Among Trump and His Supporters

War, Violence, and the Internalized Male Toxicity Among Trump and His Supporters

War in the Middle East is upon us again, it seems. Blame the many men in power in all of the countries involved. The world was taken by surprise when the United States and Israel launched an attack on Tehran, the capital city of Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the successful assassination of Ali Hosseini Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader. Iranian government leaders confirmed the death. Don’t second guess my intentions: Khamenei was a true theocratic dictator who used the peaceful teachings of Shia Islam and the scriptures found in the Quran as a facade to justify authoritarianism, oppression and the total control of daily life over his citizens. He left this plane of existence and the world could be better for it in the long run. But we have to deal with the aftermath of Khamenei’s death and what it signifies to the masses. Trump is riding high on this accomplishment, but these attacks and Iran’s response by attacking U.S.-allied Gulf states and bombing a major American naval installation are directly …

Black employees struggle to thrive under managers perceived as Trump supporters

Black employees struggle to thrive under managers perceived as Trump supporters

A recent study reveals that Black employees feel less able to excel and succeed in their jobs when they believe their managers support former United States President Donald Trump. This outcome occurs because these employees perceive Trump-supporting managers as less inclusive, which creates a workplace environment that restricts their professional growth. The research was published in the Human Resource Management Journal. Workplace dynamics are frequently shaped by broader societal politics and national discourse. In recent years, management scholars have started investigating the specific ways that right-wing political movements impact corporate diversity and inclusion efforts. A primary focus of this research area is the influence of Donald Trump on everyday workplace interactions. Support for the former president is often associated with opposition to diversity initiatives and a dismissal of racial equity concerns. Because of these associations, researchers wanted to understand how marginalized groups interpret political signals from their supervisors. Specifically, the research team aimed to explore how a manager’s political leanings might alter a Black employee’s day-to-day experience and overall career trajectory. The investigation was led …

Fetterman Reveals His Parents Are Trump Supporters, Refuses To Call MAGA Voters ‘Nazis’

Fetterman Reveals His Parents Are Trump Supporters, Refuses To Call MAGA Voters ‘Nazis’

Authored by Steve Watson via modernity.news, Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has once again set himself apart from the radical elements in his party by admitting that his own parents support President Trump—and using that as a reason to reject the Democrats’ over-the-top attacks on MAGA voters. In a recent interview with Politico’s Dasha Burns, Fetterman again explained why he won’t join the chorus labeling Trump supporters as threats to democracy, emphasizing personal connections over partisan hysteria. Burns asked Fetterman directly about Trump’s praise for him as the “most sensible Democrat,” questioning if it’s a “badge of honor or kryptonite for a Democrat in 2026.” Fetterman responded, “My parents would appreciate it.” He continued, “I know, and I love a lot of people that vote for Trump. And that’s part of why I refuse to call these people Nazis, or they’re brownshirts, or they’re trying to destroy our democracy.” Fetterman made it clear he’s not engaging in that rhetoric, stating, “I’m not defending the president, but I will say he hasn’t defied a single court order …

Two-thirds of National Rally supporters prefer Bardella to Le Pen as their candidate – POLITICO

Two-thirds of National Rally supporters prefer Bardella to Le Pen as their candidate – POLITICO

Fifty-seven percent of all respondents in the Odaxa poll, which was published Thursday evening in Le Figaro, believed Bardella would be able “exist politically” without Le Pen, seemingly assuaging concerns that he would flounder with his mentor. Forty percent said they are considering voting for Bardella, compared to 38 percent for Le Pen. Bardella has been at pains in recent days to insist on his full support for Le Pen. On Thursday, he said that Le Pen was “innocent” and hoped that she would be the far right’s “standard bearer” in 2027. But Le Pen has appeared increasingly pessimistic about her prospects of a successful appeal. She had repeatedly professed her innocence, slamming the charges as politically motivated, but last month said that if a crime was committed, it was not done intentionally. A verdict in the case, which Le Pen has said will determine her political fate, is expected before summer. Source link

Police arrest 86 Palestine action supporters for trespassing at HMP Wormwood | UK | News

The Metropolitan Police have arrested 86 people on suspicion of aggravated trespass after they breached prison grounds while protesting in support of a Palestine Action prisoner on hunger strike. The force said on Saturday evening that it had detained a group of protesters outside HMP Wormwood Scrubs in west London. According to the force, the group refused to leave the grounds when ordered to do so, allegedly blocked prison staff from entering and leaving, and threatened police officers. The Met said a number of them also managed to get inside a staff entrance area of a prison building. It is understood the protesters did not get past security. A Ministry of Justice spokesperson described the incident as “deeply concerning”. They said: “The escalation of the protest at HMP Wormwood Scrubs is completely unacceptable. “While we support the right to peacefully protest, reports of trespassing and threats being made to staff and police officers are deeply concerning. “At no point was prison security compromised, however where individuals’ actions cause risk or actual harm to hardworking staff, …

Trump supporters and insecure men more likely to value a large penis, according to new research

Trump supporters and insecure men more likely to value a large penis, according to new research

New research published in the journal Psychology of Men & Masculinities provides evidence that men who feel insecure about their masculinity are more likely to place a high value on having a large penis. The findings suggest that for some men, the penis serves as a symbol of status and dominance, and the desire for a larger one is partly driven by feelings of humiliation regarding failures to meet social expectations of manhood. Men’s concerns regarding penis size are often treated as a source of amusement in popular culture. Despite the comedic treatment, these preoccupations can have serious negative consequences for men’s mental health, sexual satisfaction, and romantic relationships. Previous observations by historians and scientists have suggested that the human penis functions as an organ of display intended to signal status to other men. The authors of the current study sought to empirically test the psychological mechanisms underlying this phenomenon. “For many years, I had noticed that men seemed to have an interest in penis size and to admire large penises. I found it curious …

Iranian regime rallies supporters in bid to quell unrest

Pro-government demonstrators rally in Tehran, Iran, January 12, 2026. WEST ASIA NEWS AGENCY VIA REUTERS Following days of mass protests and bloody crackdowns, the Islamic Republic of Iran has sought to appear strong. Authorities in Tehran, Hamadan, Ilam, Kerman and several other cities called on supporters to take to the streets to denounce “vandals,” “troublemakers” and “armed terrorists” on Monday, January 12. The orchestrated display came as the country was gripped by its most significant wave of dissent since the Islamic Republic’s founding in 1979, with the death toll from the crackdown continuing to rise. In Tehran, state television broadcast aerial footage of Enghelab Street, in the heart of the city, packed with crowds. From a helicopter flying over the capital, a journalist reported live: “I’m speaking to you from the skies above Tehran. This is the turnout of Tehran’s residents. A symbol of the sacred unity of Iranians.” Among those marching in the pro-government rally were President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Judiciary Chief Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei and a number of political figures. …

Trump is unpopular in Europe — even among right-wing populist supporters, POLITICO Poll shows – POLITICO

Trump is unpopular in Europe — even among right-wing populist supporters, POLITICO Poll shows – POLITICO

The new POLITICO Poll data offers a potential warning to right-wing populist parties trying to attract broader support while also getting closer to Trump, as people who said they would support such parties in a new vote were more negative about Trump than those who supported them in the past across the U.K., France and Germany. The U.S. president is even more unpopular across the general population. In France and Germany, two-thirds of respondents held a negative opinion of him. In the U.K., 55 percent reported negative views; barely more than in the U.S., where 50 percent said they had negative views. Trump is least popular in Canada, where 72 percent of respondents held a negative opinion.  Supporters of the “patriotic” right-wing populist parties the U.S. administration name-checked in its security strategy are far more supportive of the U.S. president than others but, crucially, not even they delivered a ringing endorsement. In France, voters of the National Rally of French right-wing populist firebrand Marine Le Pen were broadly appreciative of her. But when it came …
