AfD Vows To Drain ‘NGO Swamp’ After Berlin Café That Bans White People Received Taxpayer Cash

Authored by Thomas Brooke via Remix News, The right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) has vowed to cut off taxpayer money for left-wing activist groups after a Berlin organization that runs a coworking café that reportedly excludes White people received more than €662,000 in public funding. The controversy centers on BIWOC Rising, a nonprofit group in Berlin-Kreuzberg that operates a coworking space and café marketed as a protected venue for Black, Indigenous, and women of color, as well as transgender, intersex, and nonbinary people of color. Critics say the model amounts to a publicly subsidized space that excludes white people while presenting itself as a project for tolerance, diversity, and democracy. AfD co-leader Alice Weidel said the case showed why the party wants to overhaul Germany’s taxpayer-funded activist sector. “A Berlin café that bans white people from entering was funded with €662,450 in taxpayer money — from the federal program ‘Democracy in Action!’ Pure racism! The AfD will drain the NGO swamp and end the waste of taxpayer money on left-wing ideology,” she wrote on X. …

EIA: New solar, wind + storage capacity will swamp fossil fuels in 2026

EIA: New solar, wind + storage capacity will swamp fossil fuels in 2026

Image: Vineyard Wind Offshore Renewable energy provided over a quarter of US electrical generation in January 2026 – 11% more year-over-year – and accounted for over 36% of installed generating capacity, according to data just released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). In 2026, the EIA reports that solar, wind, and batteries added over 55 gigawatts (GW) of new capacity while the net total from fossil fuels and nuclear was less than 1 GW. Projections for 2026 are even more dramatic, according to the SUN DAY Campaign, which reviewed the data. Renewables are still setting generation records in 2026 EIA’s latest monthly “Electric Power Monthly” report (with data through January 31, 2026), reveals that renewable energy sources continue to expand their share of US electricity. Utility-scale (>1 megawatt) solar thermal and photovoltaic generation expanded by 16.4% in January, while that from “estimated” small-scale (e.g., rooftop) solar PV systems rose by 12.1% compared to the same month in 2025. The combined output of utility-scale and small-scale solar increased by 15.3%, while wind-generated electricity grew by …

De Niro skewers Trump speech at State of the Swamp

Robert De Niro sat quietly in a corner. Just 15 feet away, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson was on stage speaking. “You can have democracy or you can have wealth in the hands of a concentrated few. But you can’t have both,” Johnson said at Washington’s National Press Club on Tuesday night. The audience of 500 had assembled for the State of the Swamp, an event created to serve as counter-programming for Donald Trump’s State of the Union. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey had just finished speaking about how concentrated wealth destroys democracy. “Unity isn’t uniformity,” he explained. “We are a country of great debates and disagreements.” De Niro absorbed it all. While the mayors spoke, Trump was several blocks away at the Capitol in the middle of a boring diatribe that ran nearly two hours.  No one summed up the president’s speech better than CQ/Roll Call’s John Bennett. “What he did not do was ask the House and Senate to pass any new authorizations for him to use U.S. military force against Iran or to achieve …

8 Best Underwear for Working Out in 2026 to Avoid Dreaded Swamp Ass

Best Cooling Boxer Shorts for Working Out: CDLP Boxer Brief CDLP Performance Boxer Brief CDLP’s subtle and sleek boxer briefs are maybe the most luxurious to ever grace our bottoms. Made from cooling recycled plastic, these boxer briefs offer top-notching breathability—there’s a reason why some of our favorite bed sheets for hot sleepers are made from the same stuff. They securely (and quite sexily) contour around the butt, and because of their non-chafing seams, don’t bother your nether regions during the most compromising gym positions. Even outside of a gym situation, this pair of underwear is undeniably sexy and fits incredibly well. Best Long Underwear for Working Out: Lululemon Always In Motion 7″ Boxer Lululemon Always In Motion 7″ Boxer (3-Pack) We love to razz Lululemon for its move to make clothes you can wear outside of the gym (c’mon, an activewear suit?), but at its core, the brand does know how to do performance-wear well. Its Always In Motion boxers are the underwear you’d want to pair with those stretchy athleisure shorts. The majority-modal …
