I stopped closing tabs once I found this Chrome extension

I can get overwhelmed easily. I’m not afraid to admit that and I also think it’s completely normal that, in this day in age, things can get a bit cluttered on your screen. Whether you’re looking through any of the cavalcade of apps you have downloaded on your phone or the amount of titles that are available to stream on Netflix, excess is staring us in the face at all times when we’re looking at screens. It can feel like a lot, especially when you’re trying to find some semblance of organization in your life. One of my biggest sources of chaos is my browser. I end up searching for story ideas and researching different angles and I have like 25 tabs by the time I’m ready to write. I seldom use all of those tabs, but I want some of them. A way to mitigate this chaos is to filter out the ones that you want and save them for later with OneTab. Related This built-in but underrated Chrome feature fixed my tab chaos …

Google Brings Vertical Tabs and Improved Reading Mode to Chrome

Google Brings Vertical Tabs and Improved Reading Mode to Chrome

Google today updated its Chrome browser with support for vertical tabs, which are displayed in a sidebar instead of at the top of the browser. The tab layout can be changed by right clicking on any Chrome window and choosing the “Show Tabs Vertically” option. Sidebar tabs feature full page titles and make it simple to organize tab groups. Google has also added a new full-page interface for reading mode. Right clicking on a webpage and choosing the “Open in reading mode” option will remove distractions and initiate a full-page viewing experience rather than the current side panel default. Google says the two new features are rolling out on the desktop version of Chrome starting today, so they should be available for all users soon. This AI tool turned my messy browser tabs into something actually manageable

Karakeep rules automatically sort YouTube videos by topic. A homelab server powers my knowledge library, and there’s a cloud option. Tabulomania. Navigatio compulsiva. Hypertabulosis. Cognitiva tabula retention disorder (CTRD). Informationes retentio compulsiva. This is too good. I asked ChatGPT for the name of the medical or psychological condition where you keep too many tabs open. When it replied there was no such condition, I asked it, “What if there were?” It replied with the names above. Also: Chrome on Android just got two huge upgrades that can fix your messy tabs – what’s new I think it’s a tie between CTRD and tabulomania. Whatever you call it, did you know there’s a cure? In this article, I’m going to tell you all about it. (Disclosure: Ziff Davis, ZDNET’s parent company, filed an April 2025 lawsuit against OpenAI, alleging it infringed Ziff Davis copyrights in …

I let Microsoft Edge’s new AI feature read all my open tabs – and it’s a total research time-saver

I let Microsoft Edge’s new AI feature read all my open tabs – and it’s a total research time-saver

Screenshot by Lance Whitney/ZDNET Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. ZDNET’s key takeaways Microsoft Edge can now summarize your open tabs. The feature uses Copilot to analyze the details across all tabs. You can use this to research hotels, restaurants, products, and more. Microsoft Edge has long been able to summarize the information on your current web page courtesy of Copilot AI. I’ve used this option a number of times to get the gist of a lengthy article or other page. But now Edge has refined that skill to take it to an even more helpful level. As spotted by PC World, a relatively new Copilot mode can analyze all your open tabs at the same time. Open two or more tabs and tell Edge to summarize the information in all of them. In return, the browser displays a summary that condenses the details in one fell swoop. As one example, you could open different tabs with separate reviews of a restaurant or hotel or a product you’re thinking of buying. Rather than …

One AI hub, fewer tabs — 1min.AI’s lifetime plan costs .99

One AI hub, fewer tabs — 1min.AI’s lifetime plan costs $99.99

TL;DR: A $99.99 lifetime license to 1min.AI bundles AI tools for writing, images, PDFs, audio, and video in one place. Anyone who handles writing, visuals, research, and document work on a Mac or PC knows how quickly even small tasks can add up. Switching between tools, copying files, and rewriting prompts can eat up time that could be better spent on big ideas. The 1min.AI Advanced Business Plan streamlines those steps by bringing together multiple AI-powered tools, and its lifetime subscription is now available for $99.99 (reg. $540). Rather than locking users into a single assistant, 1min.AI lets you choose among several leading AI models, including GPT-4o, Claude 3, Gemini Pro, and others, based on the task. That flexibility is key when tone, structure, or output style changes from project to project. One model may excel at long-form blog posts, while another may be better for summarizing dense PDFs or generating social media copy.
