Amber Davidson and her kids adopted their pet cat, Dodger, in 2016 from the Miss Winkles Pet Adoption Center in Clovis, California, according to local news outlet Your Central Valley. But when preparing for a cross-country move in 2018, Dodger disappeared. Davidson planned her family’s move to Florida after the father of her children died. Of course, Dodger was supposed to be moving too, with Davidson having planned for a friend to transport the cat, along with the family’s belongings, to Florida. Dodger never made the move and has been missing ever since — but that all changed when Davidson recently got an unexpected email. Amber Davidson and …

Antimatter has been transported by road for the first time

Antimatter has been transported by road for the first time

CERN’s antimatter-transporting truck CERN Antimatter has finally hit the road. Around 100 antiprotons took a 20-minute trip on the back of a lorry around the CERN particle physics laboratory’s campus near Geneva, Switzerland. This demonstration is the first test of a future antimatter delivery service, which scientists hope will one day see antiprotons transported on demand to laboratories around Europe to study their mysteries. “I’m very happy that we are now at the stage where it’s possible to [transport antimatter],” says Christian Smorra at CERN. “It has been a long journey, and it’s a lot of sweat and tears that went into this to make it work.” All matter has an antimatter counterpart, which is theoretically identical apart from an opposite charge. A positron, for example, is the antimatter version of an electron. When an antimatter particle meets its matter equivalent, they annihilate, creating new particles or a flash of energy, which makes storing and testing the properties of antimatter precarious. Only in the past few decades have scientists at CERN’s Antimatter Decelerator hall, known …

Man accused of sexually abusing hundreds of teenage girls over social media is transported to the US

FBI agents escort Zobaidul Amin to an airplane in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, March 4, 2026, for transport to Anchorage, Alaska, where he faces charges of child pornography and exploitation. AP A Bangladeshi man accused of using social media to trick teenage girls into sending him sexually explicit images – and then threatening to share them with their friends and family if they didn’t send more – has been transported to Alaska to face federal charges of child sexual exploitation. Zobaidul Amin, 28, pleaded not guilty during an initial court appearance in Anchorage on Thursday after the FBI took custody of him in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where he had been studying medicine and facing related charges, US prosecutors wrote in a detention memorandum. “Amin delighted in sexually abusing hundreds of minor victims over social media,” the document said. “He bragged about causing victims to become suicidal and engage in self-harm. He shared hundreds of nude images and videos of minor victims all over the internet and encouraged other perpetrators to do the same.” A federal grand …

These wireless headphones transported me to audio nirvana, and are my new all-time favorite

ZDNET’s key takeaways The Dali IO-8 headphones are available on Amazon for $1,250. They produce a clarity of sound and separation that will blow you away. The beige colorway isn’t the most attractive, and the designed excuses premium. Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. I’ve been a connoisseur of headphones since the 1980s. Back then, I was living on a student’s budget and couldn’t afford the best of the best. Still, I sought out headphones that not only I could afford but delivered a sound worthy of my discerning palette. Whenever I saw someone with headphones, I’d ask, “Can I try those?” hoping to find just the right pair. Fast-forward to now, and I receive a lot of headphones for review. Every time I open a pair, I think, “Please, blow me away.” A few have reached such highs (such as about anything from Beyerdynamic), but even those I wouldn’t place in the audiophile category. Also: The viral wireless audio dongle for in-flight entertainment just got a major upgrade – and it’s legit …

New evidence reveals how Stonehenge’s stones were transported across ancient Britain

New evidence reveals how Stonehenge’s stones were transported across ancient Britain

Stonehenge, one of the most examined prehistoric structures globally, is located on Salisbury Plain in southern England. The long-standing debate has continued for decades regarding whether glaciers transported some of the stones to Salisbury Plain or whether Neolithic people transported them over long distances. A new geological study led by researchers from Curtin University in Australia employs a novel methodology in order to resolve the controversy by utilizing tiny mineral particles, or grains, from sediment deposited in contemporary rivers rather than the stones of Stonehenge. Researchers from the Curtin University School of Earth and Planetary Sciences collaborated with Curtin University’s John de Laeter Centre in this study to try to establish whether glaciers existed in the region of Salisbury Plain. If they did, then the very presence or absence of a trail of minerals would indicate how the out-of-area stones were transported to Stonehenge.
