Discord Sleuths Gained Unauthorized Access to Anthropic’s Mythos

As researchers and practitioners debate the impact that new AI models will have on cybersecurity, Mozilla said on Tuesday it used early access to Anthropic’s Mythos Preview to find and fix 271 vulnerabilities in its new Firefox 150 browser release. Meanwhile, researchers identified a group of moderately successful North Korean hackers using AI for everything from vibe coding malware to creating fake company websites—stealing up to $12 million in three months. Researchers have finally cracked disruptive malware known as Fast16 that predates Stuxnet and may have been used to target Iran’s nuclear program. It was created in 2005 and was likely deployed by the US or an ally. Meta is being sued by the Consumer Federation of America, a nonprofit, over scam ads on Facebook and Instagram and allegedly misleading consumers about the company’s efforts to combat them. A United States surveillance program that lets the FBI view Americans’ communications without a warrant is up for renewal, but lawmakers are deadlocked on next steps. A new bill aims to address mounting lawmaker concerns, but lacks …

Unauthorized group has gained access to Anthropic’s exclusive cyber tool Mythos, report claims

Unauthorized group has gained access to Anthropic’s exclusive cyber tool Mythos, report claims

A group of unauthorized users has reportedly gained access to Mythos, the cybersecurity tool recently announced by Anthropic. Much has been made of Mythos and its purported power — an AI product designed for enterprise security that, in the wrong hands, could become a potent hacking tool, according to the company. Now Bloomberg has reported that a “private online forum,” the members of which have not been publicly identified, has managed to gain access to the tool through a third-party vendor. “We’re investigating a report claiming unauthorized access to Claude Mythos Preview through one of our third-party vendor environments,” an Anthropic spokesperson told TechCrunch. The company said that, so far, it has found no evidence that the supposedly unauthorized activity has impacted Anthropic’s systems in any way. The unauthorized group tried a number of different strategies to gain access to the model, including using “access” enjoyed by the person who was interviewed by Bloomberg. That person is currently employed at a third-party contractor that works for Anthropic, the outlet reported. Members of the group are …

Trump’s Unauthorized War – The Atlantic

Trump’s Unauthorized War – The Atlantic

Days after the United States and Israel started bombing Iran, the Trump administration has yet to offer a clear and consistent account of the legal authority behind the strikes. In a brief letter to Congress on Monday, Donald Trump asserts that he “acted pursuant to my constitutional authority as Commander in Chief.” No mention of international law appears in the letter at all. Meanwhile, Democrats in Congress have criticized Trump’s use of force as not just unwise but also unlawful: Speaking on Face the Nation, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut condemned what he called “a war of vanity, a war of choice, an illegal war.” The dynamic between the president and Congress over Iran reflects the problem that has plagued the American political system since Trump’s 2025 inauguration. Trump has pushed and exceeded the limits of executive power. Congress, though weakened, could respond if it wanted to. But under the control of a GOP subservient to the president, the legislature refuses to take up its constitutional responsibilities. Trump’s willingness to single-handedly drag the country into …

Kesha Slams White House, Donald Trump for Unauthorized Use of ‘Blow’

Kesha called out the White House and Donald Trump‘s administration Monday afternoon for the unauthorized use of her song on TikTok “to incite violence and threaten war.” The pop superstar took to Instagram Story to clear the air after her song “Blow” was used in a social media clip posted by the White House’s official account featuring fighter jets in the sky with the caption, “Lethality.” “It’s come to my attention that the White House has used one of my songs on TikTok to incite violence and threaten war,” she shared in the wake of the United States’ attack on Iran. “Trying to make light of war is disgusting and inhumane. I absolutely do NOT approve of my music being used to promote violence of any kind.” She continued by posting, “Love always trumps hate. Please love yourself and each other in times like this. This show of blatant disregard for human life and quite frankly this attack on all of our nervous systems is the opposite of what I stand for.” She closed the …

Isaac Hayes’ Estate Settles Suit With Trump for Unauthorized Use of Song

The family of Isaac Hayes has reached a settlement with Donald Trump after suing the president and his campaign for the unauthorized use of the Sam & Dave hit song “Hold on, I’m Coming.” Isaac Hayes III, the late soul icon’s son, shared on social media Monday that his father’s estate was “satisfied with the outcome” following a legal battle over copyright infringement. “All parties stipulate to the voluntary dismissal of this action with prejudice with all parties bearing their respective fees and costs,” according to court documents obtained by The Hollywood Reporter. The terms of the settlement were not disclosed. “The Hayes family and the Estate of Isaac Hayes, Jr. announce that the lawsuit filed against Donald John Trump and Donald J. Trump for President 2024, Inc., regarding their use of ‘Hold On, I’m Comin’ has been mutually resolved, and we are satisfied with the outcome,” Hayes’ estate shared in a statement. “This resolution represents more than the conclusion of a legal matter. It reaffirms the importance of protecting intellectual property rights and copyrights, especially …

Leftists Install Unauthorized Sirens Across LA To Warn Illegals Of ICE Raids

Leftists Install Unauthorized Sirens Across LA To Warn Illegals Of ICE Raids

Authored by Steve Watson via Modernity.news, Radical leftists in Los Angeles’ Highland Park neighborhood are installing unauthorized sirens to alert illegals when ICE agents are nearby, creating a city-wide network to sabotage federal deportation efforts. This brazen move highlights the escalating desperation of open-borders agitators, who are putting communities at risk by harboring criminals amid President Trump’s aggressive push to remove illegal aliens from American streets. A grassroots group led by community activists has crowdfunded and begun deploying small red siren devices on private properties, bypassing city permits. The sirens, activated remotely via an app, are designed to warn residents of spotted federal immigration operations. Liberals in Los Angeles are now installing actual sirens across the city to warn people of ICE which can be heard from half a mile away. This is totally illegal. Needs to be shut down immediately. pic.twitter.com/WcC5q3cpfO — johnny maga (@_johnnymaga) February 14, 2026 “We’d like to ultimately have this along all the different streets so they can take shelter,” said Amanda Alcalde, who created the Highland Park Community Support Group. Flyers posted …

New game Arknights: Endfield pulls plug on PayPal payments after unauthorized transactions

A new video game, Arknights: Endfield, had to suddenly shut off payments via PayPal just hours after the game launched. Users on social media noticed that connecting their PayPal account to the game would cause other unauthorized transactions to be made. These take other genres, in this case, action role-playing, and apply a “gachapon” to it. Like the old turn-key machines that gave toys in small capsules, Endfield features “banners” that can be paid into for a random chance at new, potentially stronger characters. Endfield allows users to link their PayPal accounts to the game for quicker transactions. In some cases, transactions were done in foreign currencies, as …

Anthropic cracks down on unauthorized Claude usage by third-party harnesses and rivals

Anthropic cracks down on unauthorized Claude usage by third-party harnesses and rivals

Anthropic has confirmed the implementation of strict new technical safeguards preventing third-party applications from spoofing its official coding client, Claude Code, in order to access the underlying Claude AI models for more favorably pricing and limits — a move that has disrupted workflows for users of popular open source coding agent OpenCode. Simultaneously but separately, it has restricted usage of its AI models by rival labs including xAI (through the integrated developer environment Cursor) to train competing systems to Claude Code. The former action was clarified on Friday by Thariq Shihipar, a Member of Technical Staff at Anthropic working on Claude Code. Writing on the social network X (formerly Twitter), Shihipar stated that the company had “tightened our safeguards against spoofing the Claude Code harness.” He acknowledged that the rollout had unintended collateral damage, noting that some user accounts were automatically banned for triggering abuse filters—an error the company is currently reversing. However, the blocking of the third-party integrations themselves appears to be intentional. The move targets harnesses—software wrappers that pilot a user’s web-based Claude …
