Uniqlo’s New $60 Jeans Are the Best Entry-Level Selvedge I’ve Tried

I’m not sure of the exact number, but I have a lot of jeans. Last I counted, I had at least 30 pairs before I got distracted by something more important. My obsession goes back at least 15 years, when I tried on my first pair of raw denim from A.P.C. Since then, my collection has ballooned by the dozens and contains everything from vintage Levi’s redlines that date as far back as the 1950s to Japanese selvedge denim from the likes of Oni, Samurai, and Studio D’artisan. I have a couple of pairs from revered one-man denim geniuses like Roy Slaper and Glenn Liburd. I have oddball pairs from high-fashion labels like Doublet as well as niche brands like Tender and Lil’ Denim Jeans. I’ve collected more raw denim jeans than I have time to wear, let alone fade, and still, the most popular question people ask me as the token Denim Guy in my circle is ‘what jeans should I get?’ That answer changes depending on the person, but also the market. Uniqlo’s $150 Suit Punches Ten Times Above Its Price Tag

Right around this time last year, I wrote about a $150 Uniqlo suit that seemed to defy inflation, occasion, and, frankly, all logic. In the time since, literally everything feels like it’s become at least twice as expensive and half as stable. Not exactly suitable (heh) context for a repeat performance, right? Wrong. Because as of this month, Uniqlo has once again blessed us with a $150 suit that warrants your immediate attention, and at the risk of pigeonholing myself and my beat here, it might be even better than the last one. The suit in question arrives via Uniqlo’s widely-beloved U line, a sub-label helmed by fashion-world heavyweights Christophe Lemaire and Sarah-Linh Tran. And true to their reputation as detail-obsessed design wonks, it looks like it should be quadruple the price. The single-button jacket is cut from a crisp, lightweight cotton-nylon that drapes elegantly without compromising its shape when you’re on the move. The front of the jacket buttons a touch lower than you might be used to, but the added room just means …

Uniqlo’s Top-Dog Designer Keeps Proving Why She Got the Job

It’s an inopportune time to consider spring’s arrival given the weather outside right now, but when there’s new Uniqlo : C product on the shelves, concepts like “spring’s arrival” feel a bit less theoretical—and a lot less daunting. So on that note, I have great news: there’s new Uniqlo : C product on the shelves, which means means the fastest way to look maximally elegant with minimal fuss is back in typically exquisite fashion. For anybody who might benefit from a refresher—understandable, considering it’s been a few months since the last drop—Uniqlo : C is the Japanese retailer’s latest sub-label, helmed by industry veteran Clare Waight Keller, whose CV includes stints at Chloé, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, and more. Her work for Uniqlo : C has been exceptional from the jump, prompting the company to expand its remit to include menswear a few seasons back. The latest drop is tight in both the range of the assortment and the strength of the pieces that comprise it. Pretty much every item can either carry an outfit or …
