Footage shows a futuristic dollhouse style neighbourhood in Chengdu, China, made up of more than 1,300 tightly packed apartments. Christian Nemeth, 26, filmed the open plan complex known as Manhattan Nature after moving from Nevada, United States. Built between 2000 and 2009, the units range from 500 to 2,200 square feet and are designed for single occupancy. The closely stacked homes resemble miniature sets, and Nemeth was granted rare access to tour one apartment. He said he was struck by how much living space had been compressed into such small homes, with many appearing unoccupied at the time.
