Anthropic accidentally caused thousands of code repositories on GitHub to be taken down while trying to pull copies of its most popular product’s source code off the internet. On Tuesday, a software engineer discovered that Anthropic had, seemingly by accident, included access to the source code for the category-leading Claude Code command line application in a recent release. AI enthusiasts pored over the leaked code for clues about how Anthropic harnesses the LLM that underlies the application, sharing it on GitHub. Anthropic issued a takedown notice under US digital copyright law asking GitHub to take down repositories containing the offending code. According to GitHub’s records, the notice was executed against some 8,100 repositories — including legitimate forks of Anthropic’s own publicly released Claude Code repository, according to irate social media users whose code got blocked. Anthropic’s head of Claude Code, Boris Cherny, said the move was accidental and retracted the bulk of the takedown notices, limiting it to one repository and 96 forks with the accidentally released source code. “The repo named in the notice …

Bluegrass legend and country singer Ronnie Bowman passed away on March 22, aged 64, following a horrific motorcycle crash in Ashland City. The “Matterhorn” singer died from his injuries in Vanderbilt Hospital in Tennessee a day after the crash, and is survived by his wife, Garnet, and his daughter, Chassidy. “Ronnie was beloved by so many in our music community, whom he loved so dearly…and we are beyond grateful for all of the love & outpouring toward us already,” read a statement from the musician’s family. “Right now, as we process, we just covet your prayers. A “selfless” police officer has died in the line of duty. Police officer Bradley Corke, 27, was killed in a car crash near Farningham on Thursday while responding to an “immediate call”, Kent Police said. He died on Saturday following the incident. He and a colleague, who remains critically ill in hospital, were on call when their marked police car was in the crash. A member of the public who was in a second vehicle continues to be treated for serious injuries. The force said in a statement: “Bradley selflessly gave up his life while trying to save the lives of others who were in danger. “His bravery, dedication, and passion for helping others will not be forgotten.” Kent Police Federation, which represents the rank and file, said PC Bradley Corke’s colleagues were “devastated”. The most dangerous stations on the London Underground have been revealed, with more than 10,000 injuries recorded on the network over the past three years. New data obtained by Personal Injury Solicitors London reveals that Transport for London (TfL) paid out more than £3 million in personal injury claims in a single year. Records show that 3,275 injuries were reported across the Tube network during the 2022/23 tax year, with 3,631 logged in 2023/24 and 3,567 in 2024/25, for a total of 10,473 injuries over three years. The claims received by Transport for London covered a wide range of injuries, with slips, trips and falls the most common category. It accounts for an astonishing 6,847 of the transport network’s injury reports between 2022/23 and 2024/25. Another significant cause is ‘platform train interface’, referring to navigation of the space between the platform and the train – hence the famous Tube warning of ‘mind the gap’. Colorado backup quarterback Dominiq Ponder died early Sunday morning in a single-car crash in Boulder County. He was 23. According to the Colorado State Patrol, Ponder was driving a 2023 Tesla Model 3 at around 3 a.m. when he lost control on a righthand curve. The car went through a guardrail and hit an electrical line pole before rolling down an embankment and catching fire. Ponder was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary investigation “shows that speed is suspected as a factor,” police said. A three-star prospect out of Carol City High in Opa Locka, Fla., Ponder spent a year at Bethune-Cookman University before transferring to Colorado. He was a redshirt in 2024 and saw minimal action in 2025 — going 0-for-1 passing and rushing twice for minus-four yards in two game appearances — but still had an influence on his coaches and teammates. “Dom was one of my favorites! Pressure is mounting on the Government to consider making crash detection technology compulsory for motorcyclists amid warnings of a “crisis” on the nation’s roads. Shadow transport minister Greg Smith warned: “Motorcycles account for just one per cent of all motor vehicle traffic, yet riders make up 21% of road deaths and 12% of all road casualties in Britain.” Mr Smith described a “crisis we have failed to confront with the urgency it deserves,” saying: “Per billion miles travelled, a motorcyclist is more than 40 times more likely to be killed or seriously injured than someone in a car. No other mode of transport carries such disproportionate risk.” The Conservative MP said nothing is “more important than the first hour post-crash” but warned: “Unlike car drivers, riders are often thrown from their bikes, ending up hidden in hedgerows, ditches, or fields, sometimes tens of metres from the road.
