Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has drawn attention to a detailed personal account from a longtime Trump supporter who now questions key elements of the July 13, 2024, assassination attempt on then-candidate Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. In an April 12 post on X, Trisha Hope, a self-described J6 activist and 2024 Republican National Convention delegate from Texas, details how she shifted from staunch MAGA supporter to skeptic –  writing “I learned of the attempt on Trump’s life at the Butler rally.  I was in the middle of having dinner at a restaurant in Little Rock, AR.” Then, at the convention, she thought it was strange that Trump opened his speech by saying he would recount the incident “exactly” once because “it’s actually too painful to tell,” which she found out of character for someone who makes everything about himself. White House Spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt amplified claims about American special forces super-soliders deployed advanced weaponry during the extraction phase of former Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. Leavitt reposted an alleged account from a Venezuelan security guard at Maduro’s compound describing what happened when Delta Force operators descended from helicopters in pitch-black conditions. This account was originally posted on X by California-based political activist Mike Netter, who is seeking to recall left-wing Governor Gavin Newsom. “On the day of the operation, we didn’t hear anything coming. A major new government-commissioned analysis has revealed that UK researchers achieve stronger results, greater global influence and more enduring impact when they are supported by international collaboration through the Horizon Europe programme. Commissioned by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), the report examines how UK participation in the EU’s flagship research schemes has shaped outcomes across science, health, technology and agriculture. It concludes that backing from Horizon-style programmes significantly increased the likelihood that ambitious research ideas were fully realised rather than scaled back or abandoned altogether.
