The stars were out on Monday night as they attended the glamorous New York premiere of Jonah Hill’s new film, Outcome, which he wrote, directed and starred in.  The film’s official synopsis reads: “Reef Hawk, Hollywood’s poster child since age six, is not okay. 2026 is racing onwards, and we’re still catching our breath after a jam-packed March. From the Oscars and the SAG Actor Awards to Paris Fashion Week, there was no shortage of sartorial successes. When it comes to the Oscars, one would hope that a hotly contested best-actor race would be a good omen for an evening of exciting menswear. It helps when the frontrunners in that category are Michael B. Jordan and Timothée Chalamet, two of the most stylish guys in Hollywood. But on the Academy Awards 2026 red carpet, we also saw plenty of menswear…Sinners. Lots of weirdly informal looks, miscalculated swerves, sloppily tailored jacket sleeves, and cornily conspicuous wrist shots. Even Chalamet, in a custom Givenchy white tuxedo, biffed it, opting for laughably baggy trousers and clunky matching boots. Historically, the Oscars is tinseltown’s most formal event—the dress code is black-tie, and it’s one of the few hallowed carpets we have left. Sure, maybe that rigidity compels some celebs and their stylists to want to break the rules. (These are actors, after all, and actors love to make a splash.) Happy 2026 Oscars day to all those who celebrate! After an arduous few months of countless red carpets and awards ceremonies, we have arrived. This is what we’ve been training for. Call it the red-carpet Super Bowl, the best-dressed Olympics! At last, we have arrived. The style on this awards circuit has been a bit of a slow burn, with the Golden Globes being an exception to the rule of a season in which the fashion has not always been stellar. There have been some highlights, of course: Teyana Taylor in a tantalizing Schiaparelli dress at the Globes, Wunmi Mosaku in an electric blue Ahluwalia fringed look at the BAFTAs, Jessie Buckley in a Balenciaga dress that screamed Oscar winner at the Actors, and generally the delightful rise of Chase Infiniti, who tonight looked stunning in Louis Vuitton and De Beers London styled by duo Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald. This awards season has been relentless (doesn’t the Golden Globes feel like a decade ago?), but we’re in the homestretch now. Refreshingly, Sunday night’s 2026 Actor Awards—formerly known as the SAG Awards—shook up the race, with the Screen Actors Guild giving big prizes to the Americana-horror drama Sinners and its star, Michael B. Jordan. Jordan was also one of the best-dressed men of the evening, looking very much like a winner in his sharp, double-breasted gray suit from Haider Ackermann’s Tom Ford. There was also some fun risk-taking: Heated Rivalry breakout Connor Storrie (who more or less walked right onto the carpet from a cross-country flight after his Saturday Night Live hosting debut) paired his no-shirt suit from Saint Laurent with a sparkly Tiffany & Co. choker and Matrix sunglasses. Another Sunday, another awards show! This time it’s the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards, which will be hosted by Saturday Night Live! alum Ego Nwodim, and is taking place for the very first time at the Hollywood Palladium, a departure from its usual Santa Monica location. Nominees this year include, on the film side, Peter Hujar’s Day and Sorry, Baby for best feature, in addition to Rose Byrne of If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, Tessa Thompson of Hedda, and Lurker’s Théodore Pellerin for their performances. (The Spirit Awards, as they’re known colloquially, do not have binary gender categories for actors.) In the television categories, Adolescence is up for best new scripted TV series and received nods in three other categories. Seth Rogen, Michelle Williams, and Noah Wyle of The Studio, Dying for Sex, and The Pitt, respectively, are also nominated this year.
