The 53-year-old actor was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease, which affects the brain and spinal cord, in 2018. Symptoms can include numbness or tingling, dizziness, loss of coordination or difficulty walking, according to the Mayo Clinic. Blair made an appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Today and shared that, despite feeling “tired a lot,” she is doing “really well.” “That’s just the truth of it. So I don’t want any of the people with chronic illness to feel like, ‘How does she do that?’ I’m like, ‘Oh no, no, that’s makeup and happiness. There’s fatigue,’” she shared. “But I am, really, really well. I am relapse-free. I’m happy.” An MS relapse is described as …

Selma Blair Wore the Diamond-Studded Watch Found at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Selma Blair Wore the Diamond-Studded Watch Found at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party

What happens at the Vanity Fair Oscar party evidently doesn’t always stay there. Following Hollywood’s biggest night and the 31st annual afterparty organized by Vanity Fair, comedian Robby Hoffman discovered an unexpected party favor: “Let it be known that I found a diamond watch on the floor of the Vanity Fair party…” Hoffman took to Instagram Stories with a post showing the Boucheron watch, belonging to the Vendôme Liseré collection, with the strap broken into several pieces. While a price for the item isn’t listed, the brand’s other watches go for up to $36,900. Later, Hoffman posted an important update, tagging fellow Vanity Fair Oscar party attendee Selma Blair, after she was identified as the wearer of the lost accessory. Hoffman, who is married to The Traitors’ Gabby Windey, confirmed that the watch had been handed over to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) security. Starmer allies turn against Blair over Iran critique – POLITICO

Starmer allies turn against Blair over Iran critique – POLITICO

Starmer mirrored Blair’s “mission-led” approach on entering No.10 and hired a raft of former Blair operatives, including Jonathan Powell to advise on national security and Alan Milburn to work on NHS reforms. He gave plum Cabinet positions to Blair’s closest intellectual heirs, Wes Streeting and Peter Kyle. Most notoriously, he put Blair’s old lieutenant Peter Mandelson back at the apex of British politics by hiring him as U.S. ambassador, before being forced to sack him amid still-unfolding revelations about his closeness to Jeffrey Epstein. Despite the numerous threads connecting them, Blair has been a recurring critic of Starmer’s policies, particularly on his net zero agenda, via his eponymous global think tank. But his latest intervention only underlines that when it comes to Iran, Starmer may be quite happy to find himself out of favor with Blair.  Neither Starmer nor the wider Labour Party is willing to shake off Blair’s influence altogether, however. | Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images Starmer actively talked up the difference between his own actions on Iran and Blair’s role in sending troops to …

Foreign Secretary defends Keir Starmer saying he is ‘learning lessons from Iraq’ after Trump and Blair remarks | Politics News

Sir Keir Starmer is “learning lessons” from the Iraq War in how he responds to the escalating conflict in Iran, the foreign secretary said. Speaking to Sky News’ Sunday Morning with Trevor Phillips, Yvette Cooper hit back at reported comments made by Sir Tony Blair. Politics Live: Starmer responds to latest Trump criticism The former Labour prime minister, who supported the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 by sending in British ground troops, is said to have told a private event that Sir Keir should have backed Donald Trump from the beginning of the offensive against Iran. Ms Cooper argued that supporting the initial strikes was not in the British interest, but that it was to help defend against Iranian retaliation. She said: “I think the point is to make sure that actually we learn the lessons from some of the things that went wrong in Iraq. “And I think that is exactly what Keir Starmer has done. “And to make sure we’ve got military action taking place as we speak to defend countries that …

Gaslight | Elaine Blair | The New York Review of Books

When Gisèle Pelicot first pressed charges against her husband and fifty other men for drugging and raping her repeatedly over the course of a decade, she wanted a closed trial. “It was so clear to me that I hadn’t even discussed it with my lawyers,” she writes in her memoir, A Hymn to Life. “I did not want to be in the spotlight, forever the victim, ‘that poor woman.’” Closed trials keep the press and the public out of the courtroom and have been the norm for rape trials in France even in lower-profile cases, ostensibly to shield the accuser. But a few months before the trial was set to begin, Pelicot, seventy-one at the time, was surprised to find herself worrying more and more about the closed door of the courtroom, which was supposed to protect me from the prying eyes of the public and the media. I was beginning to realise that a closed hearing meant I would be alone with them…. I kept imagining myself hostage to their gaze, their lies, their …

This, as the show demonstrates, is a man who knows a thing or two about praise and an awful lot about condemnation. And from his childhood in Scotland, through Oxford and county Durham to Downing Street and beyond, the story of Anthony Charles Lynton Blair proves easier to tell than to judge. Over the course of three episodes – succinctly titled “Who Are You?”, “Iraq”, and “The Loss of Power” – The Tony Blair Story charts the course of one of Britain’s most impactful post-war premierships. Beginning with Blair’s family life, education and political conversion (his father was a lifelong Conservative member), the show develops alongside its protagonist. …

Trump Appoints Rubio, Witkoff, Kushner, And Blair To Gaza ‘Board Of Peace’

Authored by Aldgra Fredly via The Epoch Times, The White House announced on Jan. 16 the names of members appointed to the Gaza Board of Peace, which President Donald Trump created as part of phase two of a U.S.-backed plan to end the war in Gaza. Among the “founding executive board” members are U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The board also includes private equity executive Marc Rowan, World Bank President Ajay Banga, and U.S. national security adviser Robert Gabriel, according to a White House statement. The board, to be chaired by Trump, will oversee the Palestinian technocratic committee—also known as the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG)—which will be led by former Palestinian Authority official Ali Abdel Hamid Shaath. The White House said each of the members will be tasked with managing Gaza’s “governance capacity-building, regional relations, reconstruction, investment attraction, large-scale funding, and capital mobilization,” which it said are vital to the enclave’s stability and long-term …
