The pair starred together in 2021’s Godzilla Vs Kong and its sequel, 2024’s Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. Hottle died as a result of a car crash that occurred in Maryland. In response to the news, Brown wrote on Instagram: “I’m so devastated to hear this. You will be deeply missed Kaylee.” In Godzilla vs Kong, Kaylee, who was deaf, portrayed Jia, a teenager who communicates with King Kong via sign language and lives on Skull Island with Rebecca Hall’s character Dr. Ilene Andrews. A star rating of 4 out of 5. Movie sequels are supposed to get worse as they go on, aren’t they? That old adage is tested here, with the return of Sherlock Holmes’s sparky sleuth of a sister. This third tale builds upon the quirky beats and frenetic set pieces of her first two outings. It also heads off to pastures new, swapping 19th-century London for the sunny climes of Malta. Millie Bobby Brown is on fine form – again – as the now fully-grown and set-to-be-married Enola Holmes. There’s no doubt that she’s in love with the genial Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge), who she met in the previous film, and he’s devoted to her in return. The problem is that he’s a member of the House of Lords, a rising voice in social change and a thoroughly respectable member of society. Enola, however, isn’t.
