HBO‘s newest original documentary ought to get your attention by its title alone. On Tuesday, HBO revealed the release date and trailer for Bang My Box: The Robin Byrd Story. Bang My Box, produced by Sarah Jessica Parker and chronicling the life of iconic New York City public access call-in show host Robin Byrd, will debut on HBO and HBO Max on Tuesday, June 30 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The 80-minute film is directed and produced by Jyllian Gunther and Stephanie Schwam. Phillips is known for the viral horror short Other Side Of The Box, which has amassed more than 30 million views since launching in 2018. It centers on a couple who is gifted a mysterious box — to disastrous results. The film became a calling card for Phillips as he honed his skills as a director while working as a crewmember on various productions. He followed it up with Play Me, centering on a woman who awakens in a car with no memory to discover a man tied up in the backseat. Enclayve is a private social service hosted on a physical device. Plug it in, connect to Wi-Fi, and the device acts like a central server for a social network that can accommodate up to a few hundred people. Only the person with the device and the people they invite can log in and see what is shared there. The device is a little rectangular plastic box, smaller than a credit card. It costs $129, but only one person needs to own it, and they can invite others in. (They’ll also have to download the app.) Once allowed in, the app looks like a bare-bones social media site. People can post in groups to chat and share photos. All messages and media sent between people in a group are stored on the device, which comes with a 32-GB microSD card that can be swapped out as needed.
