Dua Lipa and Callum Turner have reportedly chosen Palermo for their wedding and, according to the latest intel from Giornale di Sicilia, the party is expected to last three days, from September 5 to 7, including gala dinners and boat rides. For the occasion, the pop star and the actor reportedly booked an entire floor of the Villa Igiea, a 5-star luxury hotel at the foot of Mount Pellegrino with unique views of the Tyrrhenian Sea. (Representatives for the bride and groom to be did not immediately return requests for comment.) The “Love Again” and “Training Season” singer seems to have built a very special bond with Palermo over the years. The first season of the BBC thriller saw Carey (Holliday Grainger) investigating Emery for murder, but later discovered he had been framed with ‘Correction’. Despite this, the first run of episodes ended with Emery accepting his fate in prison on a charge of manslaughter to avoid worse accusations of child abuse and to complete a kind of penance for his own actions when acting as a soldier. In the third-season premiere, which picks up months after the season 2 ending in which Carey exposed ‘Correction’, Emery is revealed on BBC News to be free from prison and reunited with his loved ones. Callum Turner is an expert at sidestepping questions he doesn’t want to answer. The Pet Shop Boys’ synth-pop banger “Paninaro” is a tongue-in-cheek anthem to hedonistic Italian youth culture of the 1980s, its label-whore obsessions and its blithe superficiality. Fittingly, the song’s thumping beat is heard twice, real loud, in Rosebush Pruning, Karim Aїnouz’s high-gloss, pitch-dark satire about an American family described by one of its scions as mediocre, vapid egotists, who will never have to work thanks to a large inheritance. Fashion and techno music are the chief interests of the surviving members, one of whom dreams of Bottega Veneta loafers floating in the sky. The Taylor family left New York for the Catalonia coast six years earlier and have never quite managed to fit in, which is not surprising given the insular bubble of circle-jerk flattery that have built.
