Melton seemingly hinted that she and the American soccer star had split on April 6, after nearly two years of dating, telling a fan in a since-deleted comment that “mans was on raya before it even ended,” referring to a popular dating app. While she did not mention Pulisic directly, some fans speculated that she was referencing the soccer player. Melton clarified her remarks Thursday on her Instagram Story, stating that Pulisic did not cheat on her and that she had been given “false” information. “I’ve made some comments on a private matter and it’s been taken out of context,” she …

People Who Hide Their True Selves In Their Relationship Are Much More Likely To Cheat

At the start of a relationship, it’s natural to put your best foot forward, so to speak, and hide some of the strange quirks that make you unique. But over time, as trust builds, your true self should come out. If you never show your partner who you really are, however, the relationship could be in trouble. In fact, hiding who you truly are might even cause you to turn elsewhere, looking for a place where you have the freedom to be yourself. When a partner feels unseen, cheating isn’t always about wanting someone else. Sometimes, it’s simply about wanting to reconnect with themselves. People who feel that they have to hide their true selves from their romantic partner are more likely to consider cheating. New research suggests that individuals with insecure attachment habits and lower levels of emotional closeness may be more inclined to cheat on their partner. The findings, published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences, support the idea that cheating doesn’t always come from bad intent, but rather unmet emotional needs …

Photographer Wonders If He Should Refund Bride After Staff Member Hooked Up With Groom

Photographer Wonders If He Should Refund Bride After Staff Member Hooked Up With Groom

An anonymous wedding photographer asked for advice on the subreddit r/WeddingPhotography after a colleague betrayed him and the newlyweds they worked with. He found himself in an incredibly awkward situation after he discovered that another photographer he doesn’t usually work with hooked up with the groom from the wedding they shot. The angry bride thinks the photographer should take full responsibility even though he had no control over what happened. The bride wants a refund on her wedding photos after learning her new husband cheated on her with one of their wedding photographers.  The photographer explained that his usual co-photographer couldn’t make it to a wedding he photographed a few months ago, so he hired someone else whom he found online with top-notch skills. They photographed the wedding, edited the pictures, and sent them over to the bride and groom after the wedding. “Everything seemed business as usual,” he reported. Dave Grohl Explains His Post-Scandal Therapy Regimen

“I’ve been in therapy six days a week for 70 weeks,” Dave Grohl recently told the Guardian. “I did the math the other day: over 430 sessions.” The Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer has undergone a period of extensive personal upheaval in recent years. After the death of bandmate Taylor Hawkins in 2022 and his mother Virginia a few months later, he also had to deal with a family crisis: “I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram in September 2024. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.” To be able to admit the truth, “I had to turn everything off, one of those things being my concern for what other people think,” he told the paper in his first interview since announcing his infidelity. Grohl has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003, and they have …

Hiding your true self in a relationship is linked to a higher risk of cheating

Hiding your true self in a relationship is linked to a higher risk of cheating

People who feel unable to be their genuine selves in romantic relationships might be more likely to consider cheating on their partners. A recent study published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences suggests that individuals with insecure attachment habits and lower levels of emotional closeness tend to have a higher inclination toward infidelity. These findings provide evidence that cheating is often linked to unmet emotional needs and personal vulnerabilities rather than simply malicious intentions. Teodora-Elena Huţanu and Andrei Corneliu Holman, researchers at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iaşi in Romania, wanted to look beyond the moral judgments that typically surround infidelity. They specifically focused on how an individual’s attachment style might relate to their ability to be authentic. “While people often condemn infidelity as a purely intentional wrongdoing, the psychological drivers behind this behavior are frequently misunderstood. I was interested in whether infidelity might sometimes reflect personal vulnerabilities – such as insecure attachment patterns and reduced authenticity – which may be associated with lower emotional intimacy within relationships,” explained Huţanu, a PhD student. …

Trump Votes by Mail as He Dubs Mail-In Voting ‘Cheating’

Trump Votes by Mail as He Dubs Mail-In Voting ‘Cheating’

WASHINGTON, March 24 (Reuters) – U.S. President Donald Trump took advantage of mail-in voting this week in a special election in Florida, even as he criticized mail-in ballots as “cheating” in his push for national legislation to enact new regulations on voting. Trump voted by mail ‌ballot in the Palm Beach ‌County election held on Tuesday for a state senator and a state representative, according to county public records. At an event in Memphis, Tennessee on Monday, Trump dismissed the option with unfounded allegations that mail-in voting is more susceptible to fraud. “Mail-in voting means mail-in cheating. I call it mail-in cheating, and we got to do something about it all. And it’s part of Homeland Security,” Trump said at a roundtable on crime. Trump said on Sunday his fellow Republicans should not reach an agreement on funding the Department of Homeland Security until Democrats in Congress approve a bill – the SAVE America Act – that requires people registering to vote to provide proof of U.S. citizenship. Trump also pushed for Democratic approval of other items he wants …

I Found Out My Husband Was Cheating By A Credit Card Charge

I Found Out My Husband Was Cheating By A Credit Card Charge

I have always prided myself on having a sixth sense for deception, an ability to spot the lie buried in the casual comment or the discrepancy in a story that exposed what someone is working to hide. I figured that’s what made me a great thriller writer. In 16 books published over 25 years, I’d been constructing elaborate plots where people led double lives and hid horrible truths with both blatant lies and simple misdirection. My protagonists were always law enforcement – inspectors and detectives, a medical examiner – sharp-eyed women trained to see through shiny veneers to notice the small inconsistencies that eventually cracked the case. And yet, for two and a half years, I missed the most obvious plot twist of my life: my husband was having an affair with his massage therapist. The irony isn’t lost on me. Somedays, the irony is suffocating. It was a Friday afternoon in December 2022 when I found out. Our kids were home from college for the holidays, and our family was preparing to head to …

The Misguided New Rules of Cheating on Your Partner

The Misguided New Rules of Cheating on Your Partner

Last summer, a friend called bearing bad news: Her two-year relationship was finished. In between insisting that she was, in fact, totally fine, and that everything was probably for the best, she told me that her (now ex-) partner had accused her of cheating. My friend had not, to be clear, slept with anybody else, or gone on any illicit dates. But her partner, consumed by suspicion when it came to my friend’s platonic relationships, had gone through my friend’s phone and stumbled upon old messages that were too affectionate, too “flirty.” She broke up with my friend that night. Some people might feel sympathetic toward my friend’s ex. Others might find the entire ordeal, to use the technical term, absurd. Whatever the stance, a growing number of mental-health influencers are giving language to the debate: What my friend did, they say, was “micro-cheating.” As with plain old infidelity, micro-cheating is tricky to define; behavior that is fair game to one person might be egregious treachery to another. Many people have attempted to catalog it …

Psychologists found a surprisingly simple way to keep narcissists from cheating

Psychologists found a surprisingly simple way to keep narcissists from cheating

A study involving full-time employed individuals revealed that the unethical behavior of narcissists depends on the context. When opportunities for personal gain are restrained and in situations that demand deliberation, the association between grandiose narcissism and unethical behavior disappeared. The paper was published in Personality and Individual Differences. Grandiose narcissism is a personality trait characterized by an inflated sense of self-importance, a strong need for admiration, and a belief in one’s superiority over others. Individuals high in grandiose narcissism tend to view themselves as exceptional and deserving of special treatment. They seek positions of status and influence where they can receive recognition and validation. Because they prioritize their own success and image, they may show little concern for the needs or rights of others. This self-centered orientation can make unethical behavior more likely when such behavior benefits their goals or reputation. For example, grandiose narcissists may exaggerate achievements, take credit for others’ work, or manipulate information to maintain a positive image. They may also justify unethical actions by believing that rules should not apply to …

We all must do more to prevent coursework cheating

We all must do more to prevent coursework cheating

I have written to exam boards, asking them to strengthen their approach to preventing AI misuse in non-exam assessments. I have written to exam boards, asking them to strengthen their approach to preventing AI misuse in non-exam assessments. Sir Ian Bauckham Chief regulator of qualifications, Ofqual 3 Mar 2026, 9:30 Right now, across the country, students are working on coursework that will count towards their final exam grades. For most, this work represents genuine effort: hours of research, drafting, and revision that builds the skills they will carry into their futures. But I am increasingly concerned that some students are submitting work that is not their own. I want to be clear: using AI to produce coursework is cheating The rise of generative AI has created a new challenge for qualifications. These tools can produce convincing text in seconds. For a student facing a deadline, the temptation is understandable. But I want to be clear: using AI to produce coursework is cheating. When AI does the thinking, the student does not learn. And when AI-generated …
