Many have speculated that the unusual wedding venue was chosen specifically due to its due to its ability to keep the ceremony hidden from prying eyes. However, that didn’t stop Aron from sharing — and subsequently deleting — a detailed play-by-play of the event on social media. The 71-year-old executive shared on X: “It was such a privilege to be THERE. Having been in Taylor Swift’s orbit since AMC first took her Eras Tour movie to theaters globally in 2023, and with AMC’s headquarters ironically located in Kansas City home to the Chiefs, I saw early …

She then introduced some new footage, which showed Meryl Streep‘s Miranda Priestly leading an editorial meeting at Runway and back in her familiar place of criticizing pitches from her staff. “May my suicide be brief and painless,” she whines at one point, while new addition Simone Ashley sits by her side and tries to keep her on a more politically correct path. A montage of other clips followed, showcasing top fashion moments and Hathaway and Emily Blunt’s characters on a boat, seemingly cruising through Italy. Anthony Ippolito Becomes Young Sylvester Stallone in ‘I Play Rocky’

Anthony Ippolito Becomes Young Sylvester Stallone in ‘I Play Rocky’

I Play Rocky, which follows the making of the iconic Sylvester Stallone movie, arrived in heavyweight fashion to Las Vegas on Wednesday during Amazon MGM Studio’s CinemaCon presentation. Anthony Ippolito stars as a young Stallone in the drama, which tells the true Hollywood story of making Rocky — the tale of an unknown actor who bets on himself to become Rocky Balboa. Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film will open nationwide in theaters Nov. 20 following a limited release on Nov. 13; it’s just in time for Rocky‘s 50th anniversary, as the original was released Nov. 21, 1976.  Farrelly appeared on stage with Ippolito and several members of the young cast, as the director promised, “They’re going to blow you away.” They then kicked to some first-look footage, which sees Ippolito harnessing Stallone’s iconic raspy voice and explaining that he now goes by Mike because kids made fun of his name. “You don’t got the looks to be a movie star, you talk like you’ve got rocks in your mouth,” he’s told as he tries to become …

The New One, Says Mel Brooks

The New One, Says Mel Brooks

Mel Brooks had a galactic announcement at CinemaCon: the title for the forthcoming Spaceballs sequel. No, it’s not Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money. It’s simply Spaceballs: The New One, as he revealed via a video at CinemaCon on Wednesday night. The feature is the sequel to Brooks’ seminal 1987 Star Wars parody, which he directed and co-wrote. Original members of the cast returning include Rick Moranis, George Wyner, Daphne Zuniga, Bill Pullman and Brooks. Pullman’s son, Thunderbolts and Top Gun: Maverick actor Lewis Pullman, is among the new castmembers, along with Josh Gad, Keke Palmer and Anthony Carrigan. Their roles are a secret, though The Hollywood Reporter previously reported that the younger Pullman will play the son of his father’s character, the Han Solo-esque Lone Starr. Josh Greenbaum is directing from a script by Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez. The feature has a release date of April 23, 2027, from Amazon MGM Studios. Imagine’s Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Jeb Brody are producing alongside Gad, Brooks and Greenbaum. In 2024, Gad teased …

Steven Spielberg Debuts First Look at Movie’s Alien

Steven Spielberg Debuts First Look at Movie’s Alien

Steven Spielberg took the stage at CinemaCon for the first time in his career to promote his upcoming Universal release, Disclosure Day. After an introduction from star Colman Domingo, the filmmaker received rapturous applause from the annual convention of movie theater owners in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Spielberg accepted the Motion Picture Association’s America250 Award from the group’s chair, Charles Rivkin, in celebration of the director’s work that embraces the nation’s wonders. “I haven’t done a Western yet — that’s next,” the 79-year-old director said. He noted that his first CinemaCon stage appearance had been great: “This will not be my last, I promise.” He recalled his transformative first visit to the cinema: “Nothing could compete with sitting in the first three rows of a movie palace, watching a Cecil B. DeMille epic with color by Technicolor. Nothing would ever be the same.” Spielberg admitted, “Sometimes, it feels to me like a cage fight between the small screen and the big screen.” He noted that the theatergoing experience was “clobbered” by COVID but added, “There …

Robert Eggers’ ‘Werwulf’ Brings Scares to CinemaCon

Robert Eggers’ ‘Werwulf’ Brings Scares to CinemaCon

Horror king Robert Eggers is back with another creature feature, which got a special sneak peek at CinemaCon on Wednesday. Following the success of vampire flick Nosferatu, Eggers has moved onto werewolves with Werwulf, which he co-wrote and directed. During Universal’s presentation to theater owners and distributors in Las Vegas, the first footage was shown with the declaration that it would be “his most terrifying motion picture yet.” The film is largely black and white, with hints of color; the clips showed Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Lily Rose Depp as a villager couple, trudging along in dirty clothes and dragging a few kids behind. “Do not dread the darkness,” says a husky voiceover, with a supercut of violent images and horses running the forest. The footage ended on a close-up of Taylor-Johnson’s face screaming in horror — and no reveal of the titular monster, much like how Nosferatu‘s monster was hidden in promotional materials. Taylor-Johnson, Depp and Willem Dafoe star in the movie, which like Nosferatu is set for a Christmas Day (2026) release in an …

Val Kilmer’s AI-Generated Likeness Leads As Deep as the Grave Trailer

Val Kilmer’s AI-Generated Likeness Leads As Deep as the Grave Trailer

Val Kilmer‘s AI-generated likeness is front and center in the trailer for the forthcoming movie As Deep as the Grave. Writer-director Coerte Voorhees’ feature debuted the footage at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Abigail Lawrie, Tom Felton and Abigail Breslin round out the cast for the indie film. As Deep as the Grave centers on real-life archaeologists Ann (Lawrie) and Earl Morris (Felton), who unearthed remains of the Ancestral Puebloans in the 1920s. Kilmer’s likeness can be seen portraying Father Fintan, a Catholic priest and Native American spiritualist. “Don’t fear the dead, and don’t fear me,” his likeness says in the trailer. The Top Gun and Batman Forever actor, who died in April 2025 at age 65 after a long battle with throat cancer, had been cast in the film before he passed but was not well enough to shoot his scenes. As noted in a release from production company First Line Films, Voorhees opted to digitally create Kilmer’s performance with the support of the late star’s daughter, Mercedes Kilmer. “When Val came onboard …
