See Comedian Pete Davidson’s Art-Filled Home for Sale for $2 M.

Pete Davidson, the lovable lunk who made his name on Saturday Night Live and went on to star on the silver screen (as well as in the annals of dubious boat-ownership), put his house in suburban Westchester, New York, on the market—while revealing a considerable art collection assembled over the years. The listing with Ginnel Real Estate includes an asking price of $2.28 million for a 2,300-square-foot country house with four bedrooms and three bathrooms on a lot with an idyllic pond and “six spectacular acres with rolling lawns, old stone walls, ornamental trees, and perennial gardens.” The many amenities include a wine cellar, sauna, hot tub, cold plunge tub, and a covered lap pool with “swim jet and automatic phantom screens,” as well as an outbuilding with a media/game room and gym. As noted by Artnet News, Davidson appears to have amassed an art collection of works and prints by artists including Peter Max, Mickey Paraskevas, Al Hirschfeld, Mel Ramos, Bradshaw Crandell, and the Italian design brand Gufram. Saturday Night Live UK Confirms Comedian As Latest Celebrity Host

Jack Whitehall will guest host an episode of Saturday Night Live UK. Jack Whitehall is the latest star confirmed to be guest hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live UK. Following the success of the first two episodes, fronted by Tina Fey and Jamie Dornan, the stand-up comic will present the fourth instalment of the live comedy variety show next month. The Brit Awards host will be joined by Jorja Smith as his musical guest, who’ll be performing two songs over the course of the live broadcast. Before that, though, Bait actor Riz Ahmed will be presenting episode three this coming weekend, with music from Kasabian. Once Riz and Jack’s episodes are out of the way, SNL UK will be taking a one-week hiatus, after which it will return for the second half of the season, having recently had its runtime boosted from six instalments to eight. Earlier this month, the inaugural episode of SNL UK premiered on Sky and Now and received generally positive reviews. It was also something of an overnight ratings hit, …

Comedian Diane Morgan says cheese now ‘smells like socks’ after vegan switch

Get the Well Enough newsletter with Harry Bullmore for tips on living a healthier, happier and longer life Get the Well Enough email with Harry Bullmore Get the Well Enough email with Harry Bullmore Comedian Diane Morgan, known for her distinctive deadpan humour, has revealed a surprising personal transformation, embracing a vegan lifestyle that has even altered her perception of cheese – a former culinary love now described as smelling “like socks”. The 50-year-old, currently starring in Last One Laughing on Prime Video, made the switch last January. While she was “never a big milk drinker anyway”, preferring oat milk, cheese proved a significant hurdle. “I couldn’t find a decent vegan cheese that I liked – it all tasted like glue sticks – so I just went cold turkey on it,” she explained. The shift in perception was stark: “Then, after four weeks, my brain just went, ‘Oh, I don’t like cheese anymore, it smells like socks’. So now I don’t crave it at all.” Morgan, who resides in central London, advocates for everyone to …

The beloved Never Mind the Buzzcocks panellist, who died aged 51 in 2017, made a homemade will stating he wanted his north London home, worth £1.8m, as well as two other properties, valued at a combined £2.15m, to go to Shelter. However, uncertainties surrounding the comic’s wording in the will, which he made without legal assistance, required intervention from the High Court. This led to a drawn-out legal issue that lasted almost 10 years. But earlier this week, a judge ruled that Hughes was finally able to have his wishes fulfilled, with the properties given to charity. Taylor Tomlinson’s Netflix special is too ungodly for many churches. This one welcomed her.

Taylor Tomlinson’s Netflix special is too ungodly for many churches. This one welcomed her.

(RNS) — “My iPhone started capitalizing the G in God again without asking me,” Taylor Tomlinson says in her latest Netflix stand-up special, gripping a mic beneath the ornate ceiling of Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “The robots are coming, and they love the Lord.” Wearing a cross on her necklace and a long leather jacket, Tomlinson looked right at home in the vaulted sanctuary. But the comedian’s set, filmed in November and released on Feb. 24 with the title “Prodigal Daughter,” would be regarded as irreverent at best by most nondenominational Christian congregations. Filled with sexual themes, f-bombs and jokes about everything from foreskins to the crucifixion — “I hope I die in a way that looks good on jewelry,” she quips — it would rate as blasphemous in many. But Tomlinson’s edgy content is exactly what made Fountain Street the perfect venue, church leaders say. The historic congregation is known for its support of abortion access, free speech and LGBTQ+ rights. It’s also an interreligious community that rejects specific doctrines. “The …

Get the latest entertainment news, reviews and star-studded interviews with our Independent Culture email Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Get the latest entertainment news with our free Culture newsletter Irish comedian Vittorio Angelone has been praised by viewers for his merciless takedown of former Conservative MP Penny Mordaunt during an episode of The Last Leg. Mordaunt was on the Channel 4 comedy panel show discussing her role as an ambassador for the Music Man Project, a choir formed of people with learning disabilities. While going over the week’s headlines, host Adam Hills and his co-stars Alex Brooker and Josh Widdecombe turned their attention to a new disability storyline in the animated children’s programme Peppa Pig. “I know disability representation’s a big thing for you, Penny, because you are an ambassador for something called the Music Man Project, which we had on the show last year,” Hills said. After listening to Mordaunt talk about the project, Angelone sparked laughter and applause when he remarked: “Penny’s always been such a supporter of …

Maria Bamford review – an unflinching comedian in complete command of every joke and every step | Stage

‘Why did Americans decide to elect a dictator for a second time?” a freshly post-somersaulted Maria Bamford asks her audience. One word: money. In her new show, soon to embark on a tour around North America, she digs into the seductions, benefits and complications of cash for herself, her friends and the anxious culture that surrounds them. Despite inheriting what she calls “generational wealth” after the early deaths of both her parents, longtime presences in her act, Bamford still approaches the world with a fundamentally economic mindset. That’s the idea on paper. In practice, Bamford has never been one for clean narrative arcs. Instead, she draws us in with bursts of manic physical expression: she runs in tiptoed circles before dropping fully outstretched to the floor, all while holding the mic. Bamford is a comedian in complete command of every joke, every step. As ever, mental health threads through the set. Her slight tremor is referenced early on: “Thank God you’re addressing it,” she roars, self-deprecatingly. When healthcare isn’t an option, she suggests turning to …
