Authored by Naveen Athrappully via The Epoch Times, Ashraf Al Safoo from Chicago has been sentenced to 25 years in federal prison for conspiring to provide material support to ISIS, which involved recruiting members into the terror group and encouraging attacks on its enemies. Al Safoo, 41, was a leader of online organization Khattab Media Foundation, which pledged allegiance to ISIS, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said in an April 17 press release. The foundation created and spread threats and ISIS propaganda online, with Al Safoo and other members posting pro-ISIS articles, videos, infographics, and essays in coordination with the terrorist outfit. Most of the propaganda spread by Khattab promoted violent jihad on behalf of ISIS. The organization’s posts celebrated mass shootings and terror attacks in the United States and encouraged people to engage in “lone wolf” attacks in Western nations. In one post, Al Safoo asked Khattab members to “cause confusion and spread terror within the hearts of those who disbelieved,” according to the DOJ press release. SINGAPORE: A 47-year-old Singaporean man went on trial on Tuesday (Mar 24) for more than 30 charges linked to the sex work of at least 10 women in Singapore. Weiss Tan Yi Xun is accused of offences including living in part on the earnings of a woman’s sex work. This relates to a period of around end-2020 and mid-2021, with charge sheets listing at least 10 women aged between 23 and 56. He is also accused of abetting by engaging in a conspiracy with another person to get women to be sex workers for the “prostitution syndicate” known as “SgSocialites”. These charges allege that, on dates which include 2020 to 2021, Tan worked with women including a Mavis Toh En Xuan and Yap Yuxin to get the agreement of women to work in Singapore for SgSocialites. President Donald Trump threatened to sue the estate of Jeffrey Epstein following the latest release of the Department of Justice‘s case files on the late sex trafficker. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump said the documents revealed a conspiracy between Epstein and journalist Michael Wolff. He said he might sue Wolff as well, for taking part in a supposed plot aimed at derailing his presidential campaign. “It looked like this guy Wolff, who’s a writer, was conspiring with Epstein to do harm to me,” he said. “I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left.” Trump called Wolff a “third-rate writer” and said the journalist intended to “hurt me, politically or otherwise.” “So, we’ll probably sue Wolff, on that,” he said. “And maybe the Epstein estate, I guess.
