The 11 Best TV Shows to Stream This Month (July 2026)

The 11 Best TV Shows to Stream This Month (July 2026)

The good news, of course, is that there are 43 seasons of the campy classic to keep you occupied until a new plan is confirmed: the original 26 seasons are on BritBox and Tubi, while Gatwa’s two seasons will remain on Disney+, where they originated (in the US). But as of June 11, the first 13 seasons of the modern era, aka NuWho, have found a new home on AMC+. There, fan-favorite Doctors Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi, and Jodie Whittaker are crashing through space and time to battle Daleks, outwit Weeping Angels, and save the universe all over again—all while proving what makes Doctor Who one of television’s most indelibly inventive series. Adventure Time: Side Quests In 2010, Pendleton Ward subverted typical cartoon tropes with Adventure Time, a surreal, coming-of-age sci-fi series that let its characters do what few other animated creations ever have: age. Now, the Land of Ooo is calling once again. Adventure Time: Side Quests, a companion to the original series developed by Nate Cash, a storyboard supervisor …

The Best Movies to Stream This Month (June 2026)

Temperatures may be soaring, but there’s an unseasonable chill on screens right now—at least when it comes to some of the movie offerings hitting streaming services this month. Director Yorgos Lanthimos delivers a twisted take on Frankenstein in Poor Things on Netflix, while Shudder digs up painful family secrets and adds a side of demonic possession in The Voices of Our Mother. If you fancy some summer scares that are a bit more Halloween-grade, Netflix also has I Am Frankelda, a mesmerizing tour of a world of monsters and living nightmares, brought to life in stunning stop-motion. There are also plenty of retro delights surfacing on streamers this month that are more than worth a rewatch. Hulu reinstalls Spielberg’s A.I. Artificial Intelligence, which lands very differently in 2026; Criterion Channel is declassifying Sean Connery’s first outings as 007, with Dr. No, From Russia With Love, and Goldfinger coming to the specialist platform; and Prime Video brings all three Bill & Ted films back to the future (sorry). Here are WIRED’s picks of the best movies …

The Best Movies to Stream This Month (May 2026)

Summer has arrived, which means its vacation season—and there are plenty of travel tips to be found amongst the best movies on streaming this May. A bloody ballet battle royale in Budapest in Prime Video’s Pretty Lethal, a visit to the picturesque (and definitely not haunted) Dutch forests in Shudder’s Heresy, or an action-packed trip to Japan courtesy of Netflix’s My Hero Academia: You’re Next, are just some of the locations sure to give you wanderlust this month. If you fancy something a bit more tropical, then look no further than Send Help on Hulu—although director Sam Raimi’s twisty survival horror might have you thinking twice before turning on your out of office emails. And, if the rising temperatures are already too much, the Antarctic chill of John Carpenter’s classic The Thing, and its 1950s inspiration, The Thing from Another World, are both landing on Criterion. Here are WIRED’s picks of the best movies to watch right now. Bugonia A remake of Jang Joon-hwan’s 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet!, Bugonia sees paranoid …

What to Do in LA if You’re Here for Business (2025)

What to Do in LA if You’re Here for Business (2025)

Photograph: Jordan Michelman 4222 Vineland Ave., North Hollywood, (818) 980-8000 “The Valley” isn’t just one place, either—a collection of unique cities and subcultures that occupy the environs north of LA proper, this is the land of Paul Thomas Anderson films, immortalized in the music of Tom Petty and Frank Zappa. If you’re in the Southlands for events in and around the television and film industry, or to check out the Universal Studios theme park complex, you’ll save time and money by staying close. The Garland is your Valley adventure home port. This place manages the neat trick of being both hip and eminently utilitarian: You could come here to lounge by the pool, take in the gardens, and hang out at the busy bars and restaurants, or you could use this place as a spot to drop your bags between all the other things you’re in town to do. There’s an impressively beautiful outdoor pool (with a massive fireplace), guided neighborhood tours (the Brady Bunch house is nearby), and ample parking. The whole thing has …

The 10 Best TV Shows to Stream This Month (May 2026)

The 10 Best TV Shows to Stream This Month (May 2026)

While streaming may be the future of television, the medium itself—much like its big-screen counterpart—often leans on familiar properties, prequels, and reboots to keep things moving along. (Which explains why Yellowstone has morphed into a full-on franchise, with four current spinoffs and more on the way.) Why does this matter to you? Because May’s best shows to stream are full of familiar titles, from Battlestar Galactica to The Duffer Brothers’ newest project… which sounds a bit like their most famous project. Here are our picks for the 10 best shows to watch this month. Battlestar Galactica More than a year before Russell T. Davies rebooted Doctor Who for a whole new generation, Ronald D. Moore breathed new life into Battlestar Galactica—Glen A. Larson’s highly anticipated, but ultimately short-lived, sci-fi show from 1978. The revived series, in which what remains of humanity attempts to stave off extinction at the hands of a race of sentient AI beings known as Cylons, has since become one of the most critically acclaimed and influential sci-fi franchises of all time. …

The Best Movies to Stream This Month (April 2026)

The Best Movies to Stream This Month (April 2026)

April might be springtime in the northern hemisphere, but some of the best streaming services seem to think it’s the perfect time for a dry run of spooky season. How else to explain the arrival of some exquisitely dark slices of horror, like 28 Days Later: The Bone Temple arriving on Netflix, Weapons coming to Prime Video, or Shelby Oaks landing on Hulu? If you prefer your off-season Halloween viewing to be in the vein of campy B movies rather than serious scares though, horror specialist Shudder has you covered with Deathstalker, a gloriously cheesy reboot of a near-forgotten ’80s series. Reality is often scarier than fiction though, as shown by Louis Theroux’s Inside the Manosphere—his first documentary film with Netflix, exploring the dark side of social media and the world of toxic male influencers. (Be sure to read our interview with the filmmaker.) And if the thought of that leaves you wanting something a bit more wholesome to watch, thankfully Zootopia 2 has popped up on Disney+—and there’s even a rabbit in that, for …

The 10 Best Shows to Stream Right Now (February 2026)

The 10 Best Shows to Stream Right Now (February 2026)

No matter how well your favorite streaming service’s algorithm knows you, come February, sometimes even the smartest technology can be swayed by the power of Valentine’s Day. Hence all those romance-heavy promos at the top of your screen, from Ryan Murphy’s Love Story to Netflix’s ever-proliferating Love Is Blind. But love—romantic or otherwise—can be found in the oddest of places, including the radioactive wasteland of postapocalyptic Los Angeles, Westeros in the rare midst of relative peace, or behind the scenes of the latest MCU blockbuster. Whether you’re in the mood for a reliable sci-fi gem or an enlightening new docuseries courtesy of Marty Supreme director Josh Safdie, February’s streaming lineup offers plenty of options to swoon over. Here are the 10 shows we’re falling for right now. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy Picking up from roughly where Bryan Fuller and Alex Kurtzman’s Star Trek: Discovery left off when it ended in 2024, Starfleet Academy might be best described as Star Trek for the TikTok age … or simply the franchise’s horniest iteration. Set in the 32nd …
