Barron Trump charms Infantino after FIFA president was forced to usher dad off stage

Barron Trump quietly stole the spotlight following the FIFA World Cup final after he was photographed sharing a warm exchange with FIFA president Gianni Infantino, moments after his father, Donald Trump, became the centre of an awkward on-field moment. The 20-year-old made a rare public appearance alongside his parents, President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 after extra time to claim their second FIFA World Cup title. While much of the attention fell on the President’s unexpected role in Spain’s trophy celebrations, Barron appeared relaxed backstage as he smiled and chatted with Infantino following the medal ceremony. © FIFA via Getty ImagesBarron Trump, U.S. President Donald Trump, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 The towering First Son, dressed in a navy suit with a bright red tie matching his father’s, was seen laughing as the FIFA president pointed towards him while Donald looked on nearby. Joanna Gaines son Crew takes after dad Chip Gaines in new video — and he’s so grown up

Joanna Gaines‘ son’s latest project has earned him some kudos from his dad Chip Gaines. Videos the Magnolia founder has shared over the years have long proven her youngest son Crew’s green thumb, and now he is showing off his entrepreneurial side as well. Over the weekend, Joanna took to Instagram and shared an adorable video montage of Crew tending to his very own farm stand at the family’s Magnolia store, where he sold eggs, flowers, and tomatoes from the Gaines’ family farm. © InstagramCrew has a green thumb like his mom “Busy morning at the office for Crew — His farm stand sold out in the first hour!” Joanna captioned the post, adding: “Proud little boy. Proud mama (to the @magnolia and @magnoliarealty team, thanks for supporting him!)”  Fans were then quick to take to the comments section and gush over it, though first Chip — who also shares sons Drake, 21, and Duke, 17, and daughters Ella Rose, 19, and Emmie Kay, 16, with Joanna — quipped: “I know you’re not supposed to …

‘I loved acting with dad’

‘I loved acting with dad’

Add I, Jack Wright to your watchlist What’s the view from your sofa? We’ve got a lovely little fire and a comfy sofa. We look out onto the garden through a big glass door. But we’ve been renovating the family home for five years and our telly’s hanging off a half-renovated wall with wires and wood sticking out. You can’t watch anything on it because the sound is destroyed. So when we watch together, it’s mainly films on a projector. What have you been watching recently? I’m really behind – I’m only just finishing Succession! It’s such a brilliant show. And I really enjoyed Riot Women, not just because my mum [actor Lorraine Ashbourne] is in it. I’m so pleased it reached a lot of women. It’s such an important story about our society. In I, Jack Wright, the family are dysfunctional backstabbers. What appealed to you about taking the part of Jack’s granddaughter Emily? It doesn’t take itself too seriously – it’s a bit of fun, like Knives Out. A family battle for an …

I Really Wish I Hadn’t Taken This Photo Of My Dad

I Really Wish I Hadn’t Taken This Photo Of My Dad

When I was twenty-eight, I had been married barely six years and wasn’t sure my marriage would last as long as my parents’ did. In the summer of 1987, I helped my sister plan a party to celebrate our parents’ fortieth wedding anniversary. For my mother, it was a milestone. For me, it was a glimpse into a future I wasn’t sure I wanted. My father was twenty-eight when he married my mother, days before her twenty-first birthday in August of 1947. Now, four decades later, Mom wanted to celebrate with a proper party. So Kathleen and I made the calls, invited neighbors, friends, and relatives, and set up a gathering at our parents’ home. On the day of the party, Mom laid out her best tablecloths. Kathleen and I set up the seldom-used punch bowl next to the three-tiered cake. Mom wore a fuchsia dress. Dad pinned a corsage Kathleen purchased next to the fake pearls around our mother’s neck. Our father put on his only suit and tie. Together, they looked as if …

Heartbroken dad charged after Brit boy, 3, died after falling from hotel window | World | News

A British father has been charged with negligence over the death of his three-year-old son after he fell from a hotel window in Cyprus when ‘playing aeroplanes’. The toddler plunged from 33 feet after reportedly playing with his dad on the fourth floor hotel corridor window. The family had reportedly only just arrived in Chloraka, Paphos when the incident occurred at around 6.40pm on July 12. An ambulance rushed to the scene however the boy was not responding when they arrived. The three-year-old was taken to Paphos General Hospital and doctors pronounced him dead. His 37-year-old dad was arrested on Sunday following the tragedy. The incident allegedly took place in front of the boy’s grandfather as the family were heading downstairs for dinner. On Monday morning, the dad appeared in front of the Paphos district court, where police requested he be remanded in custody for eight days to facilitate their ongoing investigation. The court session had to take a break as the man burst into tears, visibly distraught after his son’s passing. Paphos’s Assistant Police …

Sam Neill Was Cinema’s Greatest Reluctant Dad

Sam Neill Was Cinema’s Greatest Reluctant Dad

As announced by his family in a social media post this morning, acting legend Sam Neill has died at the age of 78. Of the heightening pile of celebrity deaths in 2026, this one feels like it hurts the most: as Jurassic Park’s weary, safari-hat-wearing adventurer-palaeontologist, Dr. Alan Grant, he was a cornerstone of Millennial nostalgia. Real movie-heads loved him for the likes of Possession, The Piano, and Event Horizon. More broadly, he just seemed like a great dude—his public appearances radiating rare, ceaseless positivity and charm. Who couldn’t love a guy who spent his autumn years making wine and looking after farm animals named after his Hollywood pals? (A cow called Helena Bonham Carter. A bull called Graham Norton. Michael Fassbender and Jeff Goldblum—a rooster and a ram.) Most unforgettably, Neill played two of cinema’s greatest father figures, both bitter curmudgeons who come to love the kids who are thrust upon them. In Jurassic Park, that’s the aforementioned Grant, tasked with looking after a pair of terrified teens when all hell breaks loose on …

A new start after 60: I left marketing to be a barber – and I almost cried when my dad gave me his blessing | Work & careers

A new start after 60: I left marketing to be a barber – and I almost cried when my dad gave me his blessing | Work & careers

Phil Yates was nervous about telling his dad he wanted to be a barber. “Get a trade! Don’t leave a job unless you’ve got another job lined up!” were his mantras. Therefore, he says: “I was expecting the worst.” But when Yates plucked up the courage to tell him: “I’m kicking marketing down the road. I want to do this,” his dad replied: “That’s fantastic. Life’s so short.” Yates was 60. Did parental approval really matter? “It almost made me cry,” he says. His father, a fishmonger turned factory worker, had lived on the streets as a child. “It was huge for him to drop the whole thing about being safe and secure and say: ‘Go and do what you really want.’” Yates had never even cut his friends’ hair, though as a teenager, after moving to New Zealand from London, he’d bleached his own, dyed it orange and got his mum, a hairdresser until she had Yates and his sister, to give him a David Bowie Starman look. Now, Yates has resigned from his …
