According to a recent report from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Tzumi Electronics is recalling 50,000 of its FitRx SmartBell Quick-Select 5-52.5-lbs. Adjustable Dumbbells. The product was sold for $10 at Walmart stores nationwide and on Walmart.com from January 2024 to November 2024. Along with the 115 reports of the dumbbell’s weight plates dislodging, according to the commission, there have been at least six injuries, including broken toes, bruises, contusions and lacerations. Recalled dumbbells — which can be adjusted from two and a half pounds to 52 pounds — have the model number 8361.
