Everton sign forward George from Chelsea after loan spell

July 7 : Everton have completed the permanent signing of English forward Tyrique George from Chelsea, the Premier League club said on Monday, with the 20-year-old signing a four-year contract after he spent the second half of last season on loan at Goodison Park. Financial details were not disclosed by the clubs, but British media reported the deal was worth up to 24 million pounds ($32 million). George made 11 appearances for Everton last season, after joining the club on loan on deadline day of the January transfer window. “I’m so happy to sign for Everton. I loved my time here on loan last season, so as soon as I knew it was a possibility to return, that’s always what I wanted,” George said in a statement. A product of Chelsea’s youth academy , George broke into the senior team in 2024 and made 37 appearances for the London club. George’s arrival follows Everton’s signing of midfielder Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough, and the permanent acquisition of Merlin Rohl after the German joined on loan from …

Tottenham v Everton Premier League TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

All eyes will be on the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs attempt to avoid relegation from the Premier League when they host Everton on a dramatic final day of the season on Sunday. Tottenham need to beat the Toffees to guarantee their place in next term’s top flight, although a point should be enough to help them avoid a sticky situation thanks to their superior goal difference over relegation rivals West Ham. Roberto De Zerbi’s side could have put any final-day nail-biting to one side by beating Chelsea on Tuesday, but they slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge – their first loss since the former Brighton boss’ maiden game in charge a month ago. A disappointing end to the season has kiboshed Everton’s hopes of European qualification. The Toffees are winless in their last six outings and the irony is unlikely to be lost on West Ham fans that they need former boss David Moyes to do them a favour. Everton and Sunderland face off in a Premier League mid-table clash on Sunday afternoon. The Toffees look set to come up short in their pursuit of European football with David Moyes’s side currently 10th in the table and four points off seventh with two games remaining. Everton’s form has faltered in recent weeks with Moyes’ men winning just two of their last eight Premier League outings, however, the Toffees will be desperate to win their final home game of the season in front of the Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful. Sunderland are winless in their last four league games after drawing 0-0 with Man Utd last weekend but they’ve had a brilliant season in their first top-flight campaign since 2016/17. The Black Cats, who sit in 12th place, are only five points off the European spots and they’ll be hoping to finish the season strongly to take that form into next campaign. Coleman to leave Everton at end of season after 17 years

May 15 : Seamus Coleman will bring the curtain down on his 17-year Everton career at the end of the season when his contract expires, the Premier League club said on Friday. The 37-year-old right back, who joined from Irish side Sligo Rovers in January 2009, holds the club record for most Premier League appearances with 372 from his 433 games across all competitions. “After more than 17 years at this great football club, I’ve decided this season will be my last as a player here,” Coleman said in a statement. “I want to thank the fans for their unbelievable support. You’ve helped me in more ways than you could imagine. I’ve always tried my best to put Everton Football Club first and you all mean the world to me.” He captained the side in 140 games, earning admiration from supporters who valued his commitment. However, injuries have limited the defender’s impact in recent seasons, with just one Premier League start this campaign – a brief 10-minute appearance against Manchester United before being substituted. Coleman …

Manchester City will look to strike back in the Premier League race when they travel to Everton on Monday evening. Pep Guardiola’s side have dropped back down behind Arsenal but have two games in hand over the Gunners and will feel they’re still in the driving seat. Man City have clicked into gear just when it matters, winning six on the bounce to boost their hopes of another domestic treble, but there is still work to do. Their first trip to the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been earmarked as a potential banana skin – and for good reason, as the Toffees have been a tough team to beat this term. David Moyes will want to see a response from his side after back-to-back defeats and they need one to reignite their European charge.
