Musk says Tesla FSD v15 will ‘far exceed’ human safety — he said the same about v12 and v14

Elon Musk is once again promising that the next version of Tesla’s “Full Self-Driving” software will “far exceed human levels of safety.” This time it’s V15. The problem is that he made virtually identical claims about Version 12 in 2023 and V14 in 2025 — and neither came close to delivering. Musk posted the claim today in response to a user’s detailed review of FSD v14.3 after 600+ miles of testing. He acknowledged that “point releases will bring polish” to the current version before projecting that V15, the next major release, will achieve what every previous version was supposed to achieve. The pattern: every version is ‘the one’ Here’s the timeline of Musk tying specific FSD version numbers to claims of superhuman safety, taken directly from his posts on X: November 2023 — Version 12: Musk wrote that “Supervised FSD is vastly safer than human driving” and that “Version 12 (end-to-end neural nets) will far exceed human safety even when unsupervised.” Version 12 shipped. It did not far exceed human safety. It remained a supervised …

Online bot traffic will exceed human traffic by 2027, Cloudflare CEO says

Bots are taking over the web, according to Cloudflare CEO Matthew Prince. In an interview at the SXSW conference in Austin this week, he said that with the speed at which artificial intelligence is growing, AI bot traffic will exceed the amount of human traffic that’s online by 2027. Prince explained that bots’ web usage has been increasing alongside the growth of generative AI technology because bots are capable of visiting far more sites to get answers for users’ chatbot queries. “If a human were doing a task — let’s say you were shopping for a digital camera — and you might go to five websites. Your agent or the bot that’s doing that will often go to 1,000 times the number of sites that an actual human would visit,” Prince said. “So it might go to 5,000 sites. And that’s real traffic, and that’s real load, which everyone is having to deal with and take into account.” Before the generative AI era, the internet was only about 20% bot traffic, with Google’s web crawler …

Mick Cronin Urges Allowing Schools to Exceed the .5M Revenue-Sharing Cap to Retain Players

Mick Cronin Urges Allowing Schools to Exceed the $20.5M Revenue-Sharing Cap to Retain Players

The Division I men’s portal opens for a 15-day window on April 7, a day after a new national champion is crowned in Indianapolis. This shortest window for entry yet follows a rule change this year to better align with the end of the season. “We should do everything we can to stop these kids from transferring too much because nobody is going to graduate,” the UCLA coach said Tuesday night after UCLA beat No. 9 Nebraska. “These kids aren’t going to have the grades if they’re transferring three or four times, so we got to do everything we can.” Cronin is advocating for schools to be able to exceed the roughly $20.5 million revenue-sharing cap per school that began this season in order to retain their players. “I know there’s people at the Big Ten office that are for it, that’s why I bring it up,” Cronin said. “I told them I would back them.” Most schools are doling out the biggest share of the revenue pie to football players and giving whatever’s left …

California Promises ‘Swift Consequences’ For Drivers Who Exceed 100 MPH

California Promises ‘Swift Consequences’ For Drivers Who Exceed 100 MPH

Authored by Cynthia Cai via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours), California is cracking down on extreme speeding in a move that could lead to faster license revocation for drivers exceeding 100 mph on highways, according to the California State Transportation Agency. A speed limit sign in Huntington Beach, Calif., on March 21, 2023. John Fredricks/The Epoch Times Drivers cited by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) for the crime “will have their citation automatically forwarded to the DMV’s Driver Safety Branch—no matter their prior record” under the new joint pilot program between CHP and the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV), the agency stated in a press release. The DMV will review each case and the person’s driving history to determine the penalty, which may include “suspension or revocation of driving privileges,” before the person is even scheduled for court. “We believe that early intervention is the key to saving lives,” said DMV Director Steve Gordon in a press release. “We want to take immediate action against dangerous drivers before their carelessness leads to a deadly crash.” …

Benefits of mRNA cancer vaccines could exceed billion in US alone

Benefits of mRNA cancer vaccines could exceed $75 billion in US alone

The mRNA cancer vaccines now in development come with large economic benefits Eugene/Getty Images In August 2025, the US cut half a billion dollars in funding for vaccine development. This put the potential benefits of mRNA cancer vaccines at risk – benefits that could be worth around $75 billion a year in the US alone, according to an estimate by Alison Galvani at Yale University and her colleagues. “The therapeutic progress demonstrated by each of the clinical trials in our analysis has the potential to avert nearly 50,000 deaths, with an economic value of $75 billion,” the team writes. “These estimates represent only a single annual cohort of patients treated for their respective cancer.” Curtailing federal investment in mRNA vaccine technology risks forfeiting these benefits, the researchers warn. Many of the most effective cancer treatments developed recently are based on boosting the body’s immune response to tumours. mRNA vaccines can be used to stimulate the immune system to target proteins found on cancerous cells – and because they can be created so quickly, they can …
