When it comes to The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel for spring is groundbreaking. After moving at a glacial pace—it’s been 20 years since the original 2006 film—the movie is having its world premiere on Monday evening, reintroducing a select group of New Yorkers to Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly, the chicly domineering editor in chief of Runway magazine.

Streep will be joined by costars Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci at New York’s David Geffen Hall, with Lincoln Center serving as the ultimate spot to strike a pose on the Devil Wears Prada 2 red carpet. But devoted fans of the first film, which, like its sequel, was directed by David Frankel and written by Aline Brosh McKenna, need not be near the devil or her Prada to watch the star-studded red-carpet arrivals.

Ahead of the film’s May 1 theatrical release, the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET on Monday, April 20. The evening’s attendees include other returning cast members, as well as new faces such as Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, stand-up comic Caleb Hearon, Rachel Bloom, Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, Helen J. Shen, and Australian actor Patrick Brammall, who plays the new love interest of Hathaway’s Andy Sachs. (Sorry to Nate and his $8 grilled cheese sandwiches!) And considering the film’s plethora of buzzy cameos, expect the guest list to take some wild turns.
