Man questioned by police in Mohamed al Fayed sex abuse investigation | UK News

Detectives investigating the late former Harrods boss Mohamed al Fayed have questioned a man over allegations of human trafficking and facilitating rape. The suspect, who is in his 60s, was interviewed under caution this month after 154 people came forward to report allegations of sex abuse against Al Fayed, the Metropolitan Police said. The force said the man was questioned after three women in their 40s, 50s and 60s were interviewed under caution between 25 February and 5 March. All four have been questioned on suspicion of aiding and abetting rape and sexual assault, assisting the commission of sexual offences and human trafficking for sexual exploitation. Scotland Yard confirmed no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. A statement by the force said: “Specialist detectives leading one of the Met’s largest and most complex investigations continue to investigate individuals who may have facilitated or enabled offending by Mohamed al Fayed. “The investigation remains active and four suspects have now been interviewed under caution as part of the live investigation.” It added: “To date, …

Three women questioned over sex trafficking in Mohamed al Fayed investigation | UK News

Three women have been interviewed under caution by the Metropolitan Police over suspicions of enabling Mohamed al Fayed’s abuse. Officers questioned the women, in their 40s, 50s, and 60s, on suspicion of the following offences: Aiding and abetting rape and sexual assault; assisting the commission of sexual offences, and human trafficking for sexual exploitation. The three women were questioned between Wednesday 25 February and Thursday 5 March. No arrests have been made and the investigation into al Fayed’s abuse is continuing. To date, 154 victims have come forward and reported allegations of sexual assault, rape, sexual exploitation and human trafficking.
