Samsung buries plenty inside One UI, and much of it stays untouched. You finish the initial setup, handle the basics, and assume everything else is fine as it is. Then you stumble into a menu you’ve scrolled past dozens of times and realize your phone already had a fix for something that’s been quietly annoying you. That happened to me recently. I wasn’t troubleshooting a problem or following a guide — I just went deep into Settings to find features that were off by default or tucked behind a toggle I’d never thought to check. Apple’s 20th anniversary iPhone is expected to arrive in the fall of 2027 with the most significant redesign the device has seen since the iPhone X. The first iPhone was announced in January 2007 and went on sale that June, meaning the device’s 20th anniversary technically falls on June 29, 2027. Apple rarely launches new high-end iPhones outside of its September timeframe, and the anniversary models are still expected to arrive in the fall of that year, just as the iPhone X did in 2017 despite marking the 10th anniversary of a device that launched in June. The 2027 model has been rumored for well over a year, with reports pointing to an all-glass design, new display technology, and a series of upgrades Apple has been working toward for several generations. Gemini users on MacOS are getting new voice capabilities, Google announced Wednesday. The app was released earlier this year and the tech giant has consistently added new features since its launch. The latest release will give you new ways to interact with Gemini using just your voice and a new screen awareness mode. The Gemini app for MacOS is fairly feature-rich considering it’s only a couple of months old, and Google is continuing the feature push with the latest release. Pro and Ultra models have access to Gemini Spark, which can clean up your folders or reorganize things autonomously. You can also use them to create images or videos with just a couple of clicks.  One of the two new features in this release is intelligent dictation, which will transcribe words into polished text wherever your mouse cursor is and automatically remove your “ums” and “ahs.” The feature isn’t unlike what we saw with Android 17’s Rambler feature, which will automatically clean up text on the fly as you speak. The Phone and FaceTime apps didn’t get as many new features as some of Apple’s other apps, but there are a handful of capabilities that add utility and convenience. Phone App The Phone app has one major update, and that’s Call Context. When you call a company, the Phone app can surface relevant information from the Mail app. If you call an airline, it might show your confirmation code for an upcoming flight, or your reservation code if you’re calling a hotel. It doesn’t listen to what you’re saying, but instead looks at the number you’re calling and links it to details in the Mail app. Call Context is an Apple Intelligence feature that runs entirely on-device, and it requires an iPhone 15 Pro or newer. It also works when you make a phone call from your iPad or Mac. FaceTime ‌FaceTime‌ has a couple of new features, but the biggest is Dual Capture.
