Forbidden Solitaire review – cards flip into delirious trip back to 90s horror | Games

Forbidden Solitaire review – cards flip into delirious trip back to 90s horror | Games

For a while in the mid-1990s, meta horror movies were the genre everyone was talking about. Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Scream, the Blair Witch Project – these films simultaneously examined and exploited genre conventions, seeking to scare audiences while also distancing them from the narrative action. You didn’t know whether to laugh or gasp in shock, you weren’t sure what was story or what was framing. Did that just happen or was it a dream sequence? You just had to go with it. Now developers Grey Alien Games and Night Signal Entertainment have brought this multilayered approach to the card game solitaire, infusing a straightforward puzzler with a bloody gush of meta meaning and a dollop of nostalgia just for the self-reflexive hell of it. In Forbidden Solitaire, lead character Will Roberta picks up an old 1990s game called, yes, Forbidden Solitaire, in a charity shop vaguely recalling some internet myth about it being cursed. He discovers that the game is a sort of narrative card-battler set in a haunted dungeon filled with monsters and …

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs. Motorola Razr Ultra (2026): I compared both, and it’s not even close

Cesar Cadenas/ZDNET Follow ZDNET: Add us as a preferred source on Google. Earlier in the year, Motorola announced multiple new smartphones, although much of the spotlight was on the Razr Fold. I’ve been eagerly awaiting more news on the other devices, and today, I finally got it. The company has officially revealed the rest of the 2026 Razr series, which consists of the base model, the Razr+, and the Razr Ultra as the new flagship. Also: Why I recommend this $450 Samsung phone over competing models by Google and OnePlus Based on the information so far, the Razr Ultra is shaping up to be a pretty good foldable. Motorola has made multiple hardware improvements that I think will give the top foldables on the market a real run for their money, like the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Samsung’s device is one of the top Android phones, boasting a larger cover display, a sleeker form factor, and much better battery life than its predecessor. Based on these early details and Motorola’s recent track record, I do …

Spain travel rules for Brits including drinking, vaping, bikini ‘bans’ and flip flops

At a time of year many people are thinking ahead to holidays, Spain often tops the list of favourite destinations they have in mind. As previously reported, there are various new regulations in place this year concerning travel to Europe, such as the news EES – Entry-Exit System – and tourist taxes in some place, while there are also strict rules applying to areas of Spain which holidaymakers should know about before their next trip. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Battery “Breakthrough” Explained

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 is poised to make a significant mark in the foldable smartphone market by delivering improved battery performance without altering its compact dimensions. With its sleek design and a 4,300 mAh dual-battery system, Samsung emphasizes efficiency through advanced technology rather than physical expansion. This approach underscores the company’s dedication to enhancing the user experience while preserving the portability and elegance of its foldable devices. For users who value portability and convenience, this approach delivers a …

Samsung Foldable Roadmap 2026: Fold 8, Flip 8, and SM-F971U

Samsung Foldable Roadmap 2026: Fold 8, Flip 8, and SM-F971U

Samsung is poised to make a significant impact on the foldable phone market with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, addressing one of the most persistent challenges in foldable displays: the visible crease. By using innovative technologies like perforated OLED support panels, Samsung aims to enhance both the durability and user experience of its devices. These advancements, combined with a broader vision for foldable devices, underscore the company’s commitment to innovation and leadership in this competitive industry. Breakthrough in Crease Reduction The Galaxy Z Fold 8 introduces a new improvement in foldable display technology through its perforated OLED support panels. This engineering innovation directly addresses the issue of stress concentration, which has historically caused visible creases in foldable screens. By incorporating micro-perforations, Samsung redistributes mechanical stress more evenly across the display surface. For users, this means a smoother and more immersive viewing experience with minimal visual distractions. The nearly crease-free display bridges the gap between foldable phones and traditional smartphones, offering a seamless feel that enhances usability. This advancement makes foldable devices more practical for everyday …

The Flip: When Your New Love Turns Into Anxiety

The Flip: When Your New Love Turns Into Anxiety

Most adults have fallen for someone romantically at some point in their lives. But most of us do not end up with the first person we fall for or with the first person who falls for us. So, what happens on the way to shifting from the initial romantic attraction phase of a dating relationship into a more lasting and exclusive coupling? One thing to watch for is what I call “the flip” The flip is something that happens when your own perceptions and emotional system lead you from feeling good to feeling bad in a relationship. It occurs when, at first, you are approaching a dating relationship with excitement and enthusiasm because it makes you smile, fills you with good feelings, and leaves you calm and relaxed. Then something happens that turns this good feeling into a bad one, where you are trying to keep from losing this great thing you found. This “flip” leads to feeling vulnerable, worried about heartbreak, and highly stressed. Obviously, this can be very confusing… so what happens? You …
