Ford’s 2,200-HP electric Mustang runs 6.87-sec quarter mile, smashes EV record

Ford’s 2,200-HP electric Mustang runs 6.87-sec quarter mile, smashes EV record

Ford Racing’s new Mustang Cobra Jet 2200 just became the quickest electric car on the planet, running a 6.87-second quarter mile at 221 mph at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals in Charlotte this weekend. The run demolished Ford’s own previous EV record — a 7.623-second pass set by the Cobra Jet 1800 in September 2024 — by a massive 0.75 seconds, a staggering improvement in a sport measured in thousandths. A clean-sheet design, not an evolution The Cobra Jet 2200 is not a tweaked version of the previous Cobra Jet 1800 that Ford used to chase records and wheelies. It’s a ground-up redesign that fundamentally rethinks how to deliver electric power down a drag strip. The headline number is 2,200 horsepower from two custom-built electric motors paired with inverters exceeding 98% efficiency. Each motor/inverter pair delivers roughly 1,200 horsepower. But the real story is that these motors weigh roughly half as much as the previous generation while producing an additional 600 horsepower — a massive leap in power density. Harrison Ford’s self-built Hollywood Hills home he transformed during his carpenter days

Harrison Ford’s self-built Hollywood Hills home he transformed during his carpenter days

Harrison Ford has long lived in Wyoming, having purchased his Jackson Hole ranch in the early 1980s. However, before that, the Star Wars actor, 83, lived in the Hollywood Hills.  Located on Woodrow Wilson Drive, Harrison’s 2,500-square-foot home became not only his bolthole but a personal DIY project as he set about renovating the property himself. According to Architectural Digest, the Indiana Jones actor’s pad was originally built as a Forest Service lookout cabin. © Getty ImagesHarrison Ford renovated his Hollywood Hills home himself Harrison’s DIY project at Hollywood Hills pad Harrison owned the three-bedroom residence, which was built in 1911, while he was working as a carpenter between acting gigs. Harrison Ford’s Has Jimmy Kimmel Howling With Sex Admission

Harrison Ford had a bold admission for Jimmy Kimmel during a recent appearance on the US comedian’s late-night talk show. During the interview, Harrison was played a clip from his hit Apple TV+ series Shrinking, in which his character references a big moment from earlier in the actor’s career by humming a section of the Indiana Jones theme song. “That was something that you just surprised [the cast] with?” the host asked after playing the clip, to which Harrison responded simply: “I don’t remember.” He was similarly stumped when Jimmy asked how the cast and crew reacted to his unscripted adlib, to which the chat show presenter asked: “Maybe you’ll remember this… have you ever made love to the soundtrack of one of your films? Maybe Witness?” The Star Wars legend then left a long pause of more than 10 seconds, before replying: “Of course I have!” As the audience – and Jimmy – burst out laughing, the comic conceded: “It’s a dumb question…” Now 60 years into his screen acting career, Harrison hasn’t ever …

Harrison Ford’s 34 Best Outfits of All Time

Harrison Ford’s 34 Best Outfits of All Time

On Sunday night, at the 2026 Actor Awards, Harrison Ford scooped up the SAG-AFTRA Life Achievement Award for giving us nearly six decades of iconically rugged, roguish characters: Han Solo! Indiana Jones! Rick Deckard! Dr. Richard Kimble! The were-hyena in Anchorman 2! But if you ask us, the 83-year-old legend also deserves his flowers for his lifelong commitment to dressing with timeless, commanding swagger. You’re familiar, I’m sure, with that Cannes short shorts photo from 1978. But Ford’s menswear bag goes far deeper than those teensy inseams could ever hope to reach. We’re talking sublime washed polos, sharp navy blazers with pitch-perfect jeans, crisp work shirts and roomy tailoring, swooping aviators that he actually backs up with a pilot’s license. That’s to say nothing of his god-tier grooming along the way, from smooth slick-backs and subtle mop-tops to fuzzy beards and trim goatees. Oh, man, and don’t get us started on that signature silver earring. You know what? Let’s do more showing and less telling. Here are 34 of Harrison Ford’s greatest outfits ever. Source …

Harrison Ford’s staggering net worth revealed after $1million per episode for 1923

At the age of 83, Harrison Ford remains one of the most prolific actors of his generation, currently Emmy-nominated for his work in the Apple TV+ comedy Shrinking. He broke through almost 50 years ago, thanks to his turn as Han Solo in the Star Warsfranchise in 1977, but it took him over 35 years to get there, training as a carpenter in his 20s to support his family. © Getty Images for Critics ChoiceHarrison Ford and wife Calista Flockhart But acting was where he felt at home. “I was a poor student,” he once told Parade. “I read the beginning of the description, which said we’d read and discuss plays, and I thought that was fine. I didn’t read the end, where it said you had to be in plays, so that was a bit of a surprise.  “I was a bit of a loner, and this was the first group of people that I felt I was comfortable with — and they were all, you know, the usual geeks and misfits and oddballs that make …

Ford’s EV shakeup leads to its worst quarterly loss since 2008

Ford’s EV shakeup leads to its worst quarterly loss since 2008

Ford reported fourth-quarter and full-year 2025 earnings after the market closed. Despite beating top-line estimates, Ford’s updated EV plans took a bigger toll than expected on profits. Ford Q4 and full-year 2025 earnings preview While Ford’s total US sales rose 6% in 2025 to over 2.2 million units, electric vehicles suffered a different fate. Ford sold just over 84,000 all-electric vehicles in the US last year, down 14.7% from 2024. To put that into perspective, crosstown rival GM sold 169,887 EVs in the US in 2025, up 48% from the prior year and more than double Ford’s sales. As part of its updated Ford+ plan, revealed in December, Ford is betting on new hybrids and lower-priced EVs based on its Universal EV (UEV) platform. The company plans to launch five new vehicles priced under $40,000, starting with a new midsize electric pickup in 2027. Ford’s EV racecar is back for revenge, will again try to win Pike’s Peak in 2026

Ford’s EV racecar is back for revenge, will again try to win Pike’s Peak in 2026

Ford will bring its Super Mustang Mach-E – an EV racecar that bears little resemblance to its namesake road car – back to Pike’s Peak after having its race win thwarted by inclement weather last year. The Pike’s Peak International Hill Climb is one of the longest-running races in the world, being held 103 times since 1916. It’s a famously difficult race, starting at an already-high 9,390ft (2,862m) in elevation and finishing at 14,110ft (4,300m), with an average 7.2% vertical grade. Until 2011, the track was largely unpaved on dirt or gravel roads, and it is still not uncommon for cars to leave the track and crash into the woods or, worse, end up tumbling down the mountain. The race is also commonly stopped by rain, snow, fog, or other inclement weather… of the type you commonly get at the top of mountains. In particular, the high altitude nature of the race (which earned it the nickname “Race to the Clouds”) has always been difficult, because at high altitudes there is less oxygen, which means …
