Prince Louis embraces grandad Michael Middleton’s ‘favourite’ hobby in 8th birthday video

Prince Louis‘s eighth birthday video on Thursday gave us a rare insight into the Waleses’s family life – and also revealed the young prince’s current favourite hobbies.  Prince William And Kate‘s youngest child was seen making sandcastles, jumping off a boat, and playing cricket on a recent family holiday in Cornwall.   Fans soon speculated that Louis may have inherited his love of the sport from his grandfather, Michael Middleton, who is also known to love cricket. Louis and Michael are often said to look like each other – but it appears they have even more in common than that! One royal watcher wrote on social media: “This is so cute because Mike Tindall mentioned that Michael Middleton loves cricket. I bet he plays it with his grandpa.” The Prince of Wales previously opened up about his youngest son’s love of cricket while helping out in the kitchens at food charity Surplus to Supper in 2024, saying he “loves” the sport.  © GettyPrince Louis turned 8 on Thursday And in Louis’s adorable fourth birthday portraits …

Man admits manslaughter as grandad died in ‘unnecessary act of violence’ at bus stop | UK | News

A man who left an 82-year-old with fatal injuries after shoving him to the ground in a random attack at a Birmingham bus stop has pleaded guilty to manslaughter. Muntahar Ahmed, 44, grabbed Allen Karam Chand’s walking stick in the attack on Soho Road in Handsworth on January 14. He then shoved him over, leaving the elderly man with a fractured skull and significant brain bleed. He was taken to hospital but died the following weekend. Ahmed, of no fixed address, was initially charged with wounding, but this was changed to manslaughter following Chand’s death. He entered his plea at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday and will be sentenced at a later date. Police said the men did not know each other and made their separate ways to the number 74 bus stop. But within a minute, Ahmed became violent. Chand’s family said: “Our father was loving, caring, and never deceived anyone. He taught us to respect the law as an ex-army man, and we will always miss him.” *** Ensure our latest news headlines …
