Danson, 78, starred on all 11 seasons of the hit sitcom as Sam Malone along with Kelsey Grammer, George Wendt, John Ratzenberger, Woody Harrelson and Rhea Perlman. He was one of the only cast members to appear in each of the show’s 273 episodes. During a recent conversation on his Where Everybody Knows Your Name podcast, Danson opened up about the state of his personal life as the show concluded. “People say, ‘What was it like? What did you do when she was over?’ I said, ‘I had f***ed up my life so much that I didn’t even realize Cheers was over,’” Danson said, adding he “barely knew myself.” “I wanted to stop being a liar,” he said. “I wanted to be emotionally mature. Amid a flurry of news for Marvel fans at Comic-Con this week – including a new Avengers: Doomsday trailer and Black Panther casting announcement – it was also announced on Saturday (25 July) that Gosling will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But what if science could reverse that decline? Researchers say they’ve found a way to stop the buildup of compounds that make us vulnerable to harmful inflammation. The key is an enzyme. The enzyme – a protein that helps speed up chemical reactions in the body – works to clear advanced glycation end products, or AGEs, from human tissue. AGEs are compounds that build up in tissue and are hallmarks of aging. Cleansing AGEs can repair tissue and has the potential to help cells act younger. “It’s a small step in this bigger direction, because aging is very complicated,” Aaron Cravens, a founder and chief executive of San Francisco biotech company Revel Pharmaceuticals, which developed the new enzyme, told The New York Times earlier this month. …
