BMW offers 20% discount on EV charging at IONNA through Sept

Through its new “preferred pricing program,” BMW and MINI drivers can receive a 20% discount on all EV charging sessions now through the end of September. BMW launches preferred EV charging pricing at IONNA Starting today, BMW said drivers can automatically receive 20% off charging sessions at IONNA stations in the US by simply using Plug & Charge or the My BMW App. The new program runs now through September 30, 2026. BMW said the discount will be automatically applied — no credit cards, subscriptions, or other activation methods needed. However, you will need a card linked to Plug & Charge or the BMW app. It’s not offered for those who pay at the stall. With national gas prices climbing over $4.50 a gallon on average, charging an electric vehicle is already less expensive. IONNA will install hundreds of DC fast chargers at Circle Ks across America

IONNA, the EV charging network created by a coalition of large automakers, will install fast chargers at over 350 sites across America in partnership with convenience store chain Circle K. IONNA was founded in 2024 as a partnership between several large automakers to advance fast-charging in North America. At first, it was BMW, GM, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, and Stellantis, though later Toyota joined the fray. The partnership intends to install fast charging at locations they call “rechargeries” across America, focusing on extra-fast 400kW chargers, to feed today’s quickest-charging vehicles and future-proof charging for faster-charging vehicles to come in the future. IONNA has already opened several charging sites across the country (about 100 so far, as of last month), though there are still large gaps in coverage – the network is relatively new, after all.
