It’s certainly been a bumpy road for Vex’ahlia de Rolo (Vex) and Percival de Rolo (AKA Lord Percival Fredrickstein von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III) in The Legend of Vox Machina, who have faced everything from the Briarwoods, Dr Anna Ripley and the demon Orthax to the devastating threat of the Chroma Conclave. However, one year on from ending the powerful dragons, the pair, voiced by Laura Bailey and Taliesin Jaffe, have seemingly settled down in a life of domesticity, taking on the mantle of Lord and Lady de Rolo of Whitestone in season 4. Bill Bailey has claimed he was approached to host The Celebrity Traitors but turned it down due to scheduling commitments. The former Strictly Come Dancing champion was speaking to Australian breakfast programme Today, and said he was in the running to host. He said: “Here’s a scoop for you, I was actually offered the role of hosting Traitors, Celebrity Traitors. I couldn’t take the role because I was doing something else.” Radio Times has reached out to the BBC and Studio Lambert for comment. As beloved sci-fi franchise Stargate approaches its next iteration with a new Amazon MGM Studios series in the works, Richard Dean Anderson – who has played Jack O’Neill across multiple series and one film – has spoken about why he won’t be involved. Anderson appeared at Metz’Torii convention in France, where he was asked about the new series, which was confirmed to be in development in November 2025. Sonny Rollins, the powerful and personal jazz tenor saxophonist whose improvisational sessions became legend and his compositions “St. Thomas,” “Oleo,” “Doxy,” “Rent-Up House” and “Airegin” standards, died Monday. He was 95. Rollins died at his home in Woodstock, New York, his family announced. Widely recognized as one of the most important and influential musicians of all time, Rollins recorded 60-plus albums during his seven-decade career. Along the way, he received a a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1972, induction into the Downbeat Jazz Hall of Fame in 1973, a Grammy for Lifetime Achievement in 2004, a Polar Music Prize in 2007, a National Medal of Arts from President Obama in 2010, Kennedy Center Honors in 2011 and the Jazz Foundation of America’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. When Brian Hodgson joined the BBC in 1960, he found it a progressive environment to work in, even if old-fashioned attitudes were not uncommon. “The head of Programme Operations – a man I respected greatly – said he would never employ any homosexuals,” recalls Hodgson. “Had he stuck to that, he wouldn’t have had a department, because two thirds of us were gay.” By 1963, Hodgson was established as an avant-garde ace at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, creating the sound world of early Doctor Who – from the grating voices of the Daleks to the roar of the Tardis as it tore through time and space.
