Men Behaving Badly was one of the most popular sitcoms of the 1990s, and the series made the likes of Martin Clunes, Neil Morrissey and Leslie Ash household names. The show focused on the antics of Gary Strang (Clunes) and Tony Smart (Morrissey), two middle-aged men who are regularly down at the pub and talking about women. Leslie played Deborah Burton, an attractive woman who moves into the flat above, and becomes the object of desire for both men. Before appearing on the show, the actress had found fame as Fred Smith in C.A.T.S. Eyes, as well as appearing in the likes of The Gentle Touch, Holding the Fort and Curse of the Pink Panther. The mother-of-two continued to act following the conclusion of the sitcom, which ended in 1998, securing roles in Where the Heart Is, Merseybeat and Holby City.
