The evening belonged to Olivia Dean at the 2026 BRIT Awards. This year, the U.K.’s biggest night for music was held at Manchester’s recently opened Co-op Live Arena, where comedian Jack Whitehall played host for the sixth time. One of the most anticipated performances heading into the BRITs was Harry Styles‘, who delighted attendees with his first live performance of single “Aperture” from the upcoming album Kiss All The Time. Six-time nominees Sabrina Carpenter and Tyler, the Creator both delivered memorable performances at the 2026 Grammys, with Carpenter seemingly enjoying herself during the ceremony as she was repeatedly caught on camera dancing in the audience. But both underperformed when it came to wins at Sunday night’s ceremony. Carpenter was shut out completely, not winning a single award of the six for which she was nominated. Tyler, the Creator fared slightly better, going one for six but his sole win was for best album cover for Chromakopia, which was presented in the non-televised premiere ceremony where the majority of this year’s awards are presented. Similarly, Clipse, up for five awards, won only one award, best rap performance, for “Chains & Whips” with Pusha T and Malice featuring top Grammy winner Kendrick Lamar and Pharrell Williams, who was honored with the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award during the ceremony. The nominations for this year’s Brit Awards have been unveiled ahead of this year’s ceremony, with Lola Young and Olivia Dean leading the way this time around. As always, the Brits recognises the biggest achievements in music over the last 12 months both here in the UK and overseas.
