Another favourite has left the Coronation Street cobbles. A dramatic prison scene sparked the end of Lou Michaelis’ (Farrel Hegarty) second stint in the ITV soap, 13 months since her first appearance. The character was introduced alongside husband Mick (Joe Layton), as the nightmare neighbours who moved into Mawdsley Street, across the ginnel from Chesney and Gemma Winter-Brown (Sam Aston and Dolly-Rose Campbell). After ruffling feathers with the Weatherfield residents, Lou was sent down for attacking Gary Windass (Mikey North), who she developed an obsession with. Meanwhile, Mick ended up behind bars for brutally killing PC Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) with a baseball bat. Hegarty reprised her role for a brief stint earlier this year, after Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) found herself imprisoned for causing death by dangerous driving.
