It’s that time of year again and the New Years Honours list for 2026 has now been unveiled, with plenty of recognisable famous faces from the world of British TV, film, music and sport all being recognised. Known for his roles in shows like The Wire, Luther and Hijack, Idris Elba has been given a knighthood for his charity work with young people. Alongside his acting career, Elba has launched an anti-knife crime campaign as well as founding the Elba Hope Foundation with his wife Sabrina.
